The Brooklyn Youth Chorus Academy (BYCA) today announced it has hired two new artistic staff members - Elizabeth Woodhouse has joined in the new position of Associate Music Director and David Harris has joined as the new conductor of BYCA's growing Young Men's Ensemble.

Featuring actors, singers, songwriters, dancers, gymnasts and musicians from Philadelphia, Atlantic City and the surrounding areas, Standing Ovation reveals the undiscovered talent and drive of the East Coast's youth. Tony Award-winning actor and LGBT advocate Alan Cumming hosted Live Out Loud's Ninth Annual Young Trailblazers Benefit Gala on Monday, April 26th. More than 500 community leaders attended the event, which will took place at the Chelsea Art Museum. The annual event culminated with the awarding of $2500 scholarships to four high school seniors who have demonstrated outstanding leadership skills. The recipients this year are Eric Multer, Brandyn Brunelle, Chelsea Schade, and John Dargan.

Robyn Michele Frank of Tenafly, a senior in the theatre division of the Bergen County Academies' Academy for Visual and Performing Arts, has been selected to receive the 2010 Harry K. Berkheiser Jr. Scholarship. Skyline Theatre Company created this $1000.00 cash scholarship to support students of Bergen County who will be majoring in theatre, television, film, or communications.
