Write Act Repertory's LILI MARLENE Opens 7/25

Write Act Repertory's Producing Artistic Director John Lant is pleased to present the off-Broadway East Coast premiere of LILI MARLENE, a new musical about a family's escape from the rising tide of Nazism, with book, music and lyrics by Michael Antin and directed and choreographed by Mark Blowers.

MNM Prodxns to Present SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM, 7/3-8/16

 MNM Productions today announced the talented and experienced cast for the upcoming production of the award-winning musical SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM, which will run for 10 performances July 30 through August 9 at the Crest Theatre in Delray Beach, and for five performances August 13-16 at the Kravis Center's Rinker Playhouse in West Palm Beach.

Author Inkblot Hurricane Invites Readers to a Swashbuckling Poetic "Promenade"

The medicine show comes to town, and with it Inkblot Hurricane, a man who weaves a tale painted in carnival colors of a generation ago. From poet-author Hurricane, aka Martin Abramson, comes "Promenade", a wondrous collection of poems, song & blues penned between the early 1960s & the present day. Though distinctly American in its rhythms & language, his poetry traverses half a tumultuous century & much of the globe. In a unique blend of styles & voices, Hurricane writes of emotion, of burning bridges, love & romance, rhythm & blues, territories of social situation, cartesian localities & indestructible ideals in a signature style that rarely fails to draw readers to his poetry. Readers will find "Promenade" intimately approachable, thought provoking & chock full of the author's wry, remarkable insight and honesty.

ME AND JEZEBEL Off-Broadway Revival Opens Tonight at Snapple Theater Center

Drew Friedman, in association with Robert R. Blume (Executive Producer of the Drama Desk Awards) will present the 20th anniversary, off-Broadway revival of Elizabeth Fuller's international hit comedy ME AND JEZEBEL, a play based on a true story about the irascible queen of Hollywood, Bette Davis. Previews began Wednesday, July 17, 2013 at 8PM and the official opening is tonight, July 24, 2013 at 8PM at the Snapple Theater Center (210 West 50th St.), in Manhattan. Mark S. Graham directs.

Empire Stage And Island City Stage Present THE TWENTIETH-CENTURY WAY, Opening 8/11

Island City Stage and Empire Stage have announced their co-production of the play 'The Twentieth-Century Way' by Tom Jacobson, which will be performed at Empire Stage, 1140 N. Flagler Dr., Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33304, beginning August 9. The official opening is set for August 11, 2012, and the play will run Thursdays through Saturdays at 8:00pm, and Sundays at 5:00pm, through September 9. Bill Schwartz, University Center for the Performing Arts Director of Dance Barbara Sloan, and acting apprentice and student of Coral Reef Senior High Javier "Javi" Cabrera. In this relevant and funny play, two long-time friends and neighbors, portrayed by Ms. Perez and Ms. Sloan, are at war over 15 feet of green grass on waterfront property.
