Cohesion Theatre Company Sets Second Season

Fresh off the successes of their Inaugural Season, including ParityFest, a city-wide festival of new play readings by female playwrights running through August 9, Cohesion Theatre Company announces Season Two, which will include four main stage productions, and a season-long workshop series. Cohesion will be working closely with new and emerging playwrights on world premiere works, and expanding its collaborative mission by working in partnership with local companies like Iron Crow Theatre and Baltimore Shakespeare Factory.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) has announced the playwrights and directors selected for the 2015/16 season 2050 Fellowship. The playwrights are Nathan Alan Davis, Hansol Jung and Patricia Ione Lloyd and the directors are Noelle Ghoussaini, Alexandru Mihail and Danya Taymor.

THE THEATRICAL CULINARY PROJECT jumps into the immersive performance arena with a new project in development that fuses the in-the-moment magic of the theater with a sublime dining experience. Emmy Winning Co-Host of THE CHEW and TOP CHEF finalist Carla Hall, serves as the Executive Chef, serving a four course tasting menu to an audience that is enveloped in a multi-layered play, written by award winning playwrights Courtney Baron (Humana's Eat Your Heart Out), Hilary Bettis (The Kilroy's Top 7% List, Ghosts of Lote Bravo), and Daniel Pearle (LCT3's A Kid Like Jake), and directed by Marlo Hunter (Prospect Theater Company's Unlock'd). The NATIONAL NEW PLAY NETWORK (NNPN), the country's alliance of non-profit theaters that champions the development, production, and continued life of new plays, will produce six new plays in staged reading format at its National Showcase of New Plays, hosted this weekend, November 21-23 in Sarasota, FL by Florida Studio Theatre. A committee of artistic, managing and literary leaders from across the country selected plays by Kevin Artigue, Hilary Bettis, Kristiana Colon, Mfoniso Udofia, and Steve Yockey for the twelfth installment of the Showcase.
