Cast, Creatives Set for NSangou Njikam's World Premiere of SYNCING INK at Alley Theatre

Gregory Boyd, Artistic Director of the Alley Theatre, announces the cast and creative team for the world premiere of Syncing Ink, which begins previews February 3, opens February 8 and runs through March 5 in the Neuhaus Theatre. Syncing Ink, a semi-autobiographical play by NSangou Njikam leads audiences on a mystical, lyrical Hip Hop ride to discover what it really takes to freestyle.

She Broke All Ten Commandments for Love…and Didn't Regret It!

Piffaro, The Renaissance Band has teamed with Damon Bonetti, co-founding artistic director of Philadelphia Artists' Collective, to create a program that intersperses music and text to evoke the passion, drama, and humor of an evening in a Golden Age Spanish Theater. Inspired by the heroine of the romance La Bella Celia, who broke all Ten Commandments for love…and didn't regret it. Performances take place on February 24, 25, and 26 in Philadelphia and Wilmington. Mary Hart and Harry Friedman to Receive Lifetime Achievement Award at Daytime Emmys

The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) today proudly announced that two legendary Hollywood icons, Mary Hart, former host of “Entertainment Tonight,” and Harry Friedman, producer of two of the most successful game shows in television history, “Jeopardy!” and “Wheel of Fortune,” will be honored with Lifetime Achievement Awards this year.  Friedman will receive his at the 44th Daytime Creative Arts Emmy® Awards on Friday, April 28th, 2017.  Hart will be honored on Sunday, April 30th, 2017 at the 44th Daytime Emmy® Awards.  Both presentations will take place at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium in Southern California.

AZ Opera to Present MADAMA BUTTERFLY in Tucson, Phoenix This Winter

Theme Park Parody THE SPIELERS to Play Orlando Fringe Festival

They're going to need a bigger boat: full casting has been announced for the World Premiere of 'The Spielers', an irreverent action adventure parody of theme park spieling attractions. The show will debut as part of the Orlando Fringe Festival this May and features a number of theme park spielers (past and present) amongst its cast and crew.

In March, New Conservatory Theatre Center presents the world premiere of Everything That's Beautiful by Elyzabeth Gregory Wilder. When Luke and Jess decide to allow their eight-year-old child to live as a girl, they relocate from the Midwest in order to give the family a clean start. Shortly after settling into their new home, an accident compels Luke to finally admit the real reason they moved, a confession that could potentially destroy their family. In this timely and tender new play, change is the only constant.

COM Theatre Presents LOST IN YONKERS

As the second world war rages, two boys face turmoil closer to home when their father deposits them on their grandmother's doorstep to become a traveling salesman. In 'Lost in Yonkers' at College of the Mainland Community Theatre, showing Jan. 26 to Feb. 12, the boys decide to make money quickly in hopes of reuniting with him. They work on their mission while contending with Grandma, their aunt and her secret romance, and their uncle, a small-time hoodlum, in a strange new world called Yonkers.
