Cameron Mackintosh and Broadway Grand Rapids today announced that the hugely acclaimed new 25th anniversary production of the World's Longest-Running Musical, Les Misérables, will premiere at DeVos Performance Hall on Tuesday, November 29 through Sunday, December 4, 2011. The 5th Avenue Theatre, Seattle's premiere musical theatre, is thrilled to announce its line-up for the 2011/12 season.

'Les Misérables' broke box office records at the Center Theatre Group/Ahmanson Theatre for the final four weeks of its run, beginning the week of July 4, 2011, and continuing through the closing week ending July 31. The closing week gross was $1,530,099, the highest for a single week in Ahmanson history.

There have been some major cast changes in the legendary musical 'LES MISERABLES' at the Queen's Theatre from Thursday 23 June 2011. Caroline Sheen plays ‘Fantine', Alexia Khadime ‘Eponine', Craig Mather ‘Marius', Katy Secombe ‘Madame Thénardier', Liam Tamne ‘Enjolras' and Lisa-Anne Wood ‘Cosette'. They join Alfie Boe as ‘Jean Valjean', Matt Lucas as ‘Thénardier' and Hadley Fraser as ‘Javert'.

There are not enough superlatives to describe the magnificence of Les Miserables. The musical score and the scope of the storytelling - so grand - are nothing short of breathtaking. Now the 25th anniversary production triumphantly plays the Ahmanson Theatre through July 31 with top-notch direction from Laurence Connor and James Powell and a stunning ensemble. This production plays more realistically than past renderings but it serves to enhance rather than diminish.
