Starlight Theatre's performance group, The Starlight STARS of Tomorrow, created a musical twist on a Pitch Perfect favorite. The group spent several afternoons filming their version of the song 'Cups', performed by Anna Kendrick in the film Pitch Perfect. The NTG has announced that its first tour will be Shakespeare's Globe Theatre's critically acclaimed production of Howard Brenton's In Extremis, the love story of Abelard and Heloise, which will play at venues across the UK in Spring 2014. In Extremis will reunite the original creative team (also responsible for Anne Boleyn) including director John Dove and designer Michael Taylor. First produced by the Globe in 2006, and revived thanks to popular acclaim in 2007, this retelling of the story of Abelard and Heloise received an initially limited run.
HBO has confirmed some of the new cast members for the third season of the hit series GAME OF THRONES, with many of the actors appearing in a video that was unveiled Friday, July 13 at Comic-Con 2012. Among the new actors is Diana Rigg who will portray Lady Olenna Tyrell
According to TVLine.com, Diana Rigg will make a guest star appearance on the popular BBC drama series DR. WHO. Joining 'The Avengers' star on the show will be her real-life daughter, Rachael Stirling, whose TV credits include BBC's Women In Love and Tipping the Velvet.
Culture Project (Allan Buchman, Artistic Director) will present Women Center Stage 2012 Festival beginning March 8 and continuing through April 7 at The Living Theatre (21 Clinton Street at East Houston Street). A highlight of the Festival will be Swell, a theatrical adaptation of the graphic novel adapted by Juliacks, Kathleen Amshoff, and the company, having its World Premiere. The production will combine the novel's narrative with sound, video, architecture, and performance art, resulting in a 'spectacular, character-driven reflection of loss.'
