Mamaí Theatre Company Announces 2017 Summer Season at Playhouse Square

Mamai Theatre Company announces its 2017 summer season will take place in downtown Cleveland at Playhouse Square in the Helen Rosenfeld Lewis Bialosky Lab Theatre. Mamai Board of Directors President David Schiopota states, "The steady and unfaltering work of Co-Artistic Directors Bernadette Clemens and Christine McBurney to fulfill their vision and follow their artistic passions has enthused Northeast Ohio audiences and pushed the bounds of classical theatre in Cleveland. I am elated to announce that Mamai Theatre Company's next season will be presented at Playhouse Square."

March Proclaimed 'Lincoln Center Education Month'

 The New York City Council honored Lincoln Center Education (LCE) today with an official proclamation recognizing March as Lincoln Center Education Month. This special distinction recognizes Lincoln Center Education (LCE), the education cornerstone of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, for 40 years of outstanding and innovative work as a leader in arts education and advocacy. LCE's work has enriched the lives of educators and students of all ages through the arts.

NYC Department of Cultural Affairs Releases Overview of Survey Results Measuring Staff, Board Diversity

The NYC Department of Cultural Affairs (DCLA) today announced results of a survey examining the diversity of staff and leadership at City-funded nonprofit cultural organizations. The survey release marks a major milestone in the agency's initiative to promote and cultivate diversity in the cultural community, building on the de Blasio Administration's commitment to making New York City a more fair and equitable city for every resident. The survey found that while New York City's cultural sector is far more diverse than cultural organizations on the national level, it lags behind the demographic diversity of the city's population.

Playhouse Square & Baldwin Wallace University Partnering for SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER, 5/1-3

Playhouse Square and ?Baldwin Wallace University have combined resources to present the regional premiere of SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER. The production will be at Playhouse Square's Helen Rosenfeld Lewis Bialosky Lab Theatre and will run May 1-3, 2015. The show will be directed by Victoria Bussert and choreographed by Gregory Daniel, with music direction by David Pepin.

The Case Western Reserve University/Cleveland Play House MFA (CWRU/CPH MFA) Acting Program will present The Three Sisters in the Helen Rosenfeld Lewis Bialosky Lab Theatre ('The Helen') at PlayhouseSquare for 10 performances only, tonight, November 12-22, 2014. Written by Anton Chekhov and directed by CWRU/CPH MFA Program Director Ron Wilson, this landmark piece of theatre opens the second season for the MFA Class of 2016.

Colony Theatre Opens Season with World Premiere of FAMILY PLANNING Tonight

The Colony Theatre is thrilled to present the first production of its historic 40thAnniversary season, the World Premiere of FAMILY PLANNING by Michelle Kholos Brooks. The production stars Christina Pickles and Bruce Weitz, who between them have a combined total of 14 Emmy nominations, and is directed by Cameron Watson, who has been heralded as 'one of our finest contemporary directors' by The Los Angeles Times, while The Wall Street Journal declared his work 'the best in the country.'
