Nylon Fusion to Bring HALF MOON BAY to the New Ohio Theatre This October

An aynredenish -- an obsession -- is worse than a disease, say our Yiddish elders. 'Half Moon Bay' by John Jiler is a drama about a prize-winning Manhattan architect whose sudden fixation on a mysterious waitress sabotages his marriage and his career and causes him to abandon his ideals. Its world premiere, directed by Margarett Perry, will be presented by Nylon Fusion Theatre Company from October 3 to 25 at New Ohio Theatre, 154 Christopher Street.

 New Ohio Theatre has announced their 2015 fall theater season, which will include world premieres from Page 73, Nylon Fusion, Live Source and Bedlam Theatre. All shows take place at New Ohio Theatre, located at 154 Christopher Street between Greenwich and Washington Streets in New York City.

Kate Mulgrew and Anne-Cecilie Engell Speyer will host Vineyard Theatre's Annual Emerging Artists Luncheon on Wednesday, September 30 from noon-2pm at the National Arts Club (15 Gramercy Park South) in Manhattan. Chaired by members of the Vineyard Council, the event will feature the presentation of the 2015 Paula Vogel Playwriting Award to Boo Killebrew (MILLER, MISSISSIPPI). Clare Barron (YOU GOT OLDER), Vineyard's 2014 Paula Vogel Playwriting Award winner, will also be recognized at the luncheon.

Kitchen Theatre Company's 2015-2016 Season begins next month! Samuel French presents The Samuel French Off Off Broadway Short Play Festival, the nation's premier short play competition August 4 - 9 at the East 13th Street Theater (Classic Stage Company). Chosen from over 1,500 submissions (a record breaking number) from the U.S. and abroad, 30 finalist plays, each running 10-30 minutes in length, will be presented. The Sunday, August 9th presentation is the culmination of the week-long festival at which the six winning plays will be presented.

Artistic Director Hal Brooks announced that casting is now complete for the 2015 season of Cape Cod Theatre Project, featuring new works by Lucas Hnath, Laura Jacqmin, Kevin Armento and Ryan King each weekend in July. Two-time Tony Award nominee K. Todd Freeman will be joined by Broadway veterans Glenn Davis, Samantha Soule, and Obie winner Marc Damon Johnson to complete the casting of staged readings in Falmouth, MA.
