Tony Awards Administration Committee Rules on Eligibility for FIDDLER, SHE LOVES ME, COLOR PURPLE & More!

The Tony Awards Administration Committee met today for the third time this season to determine the eligibility of 11 Broadway productions for the 2016 American Theatre Wing's Tony Awards®, presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing. The Tony Awards Administration Committee will meet a total of four times throughout the 2015-2016 season to decide the eligibility for the 70th Annual Tony Awards.  

2015 TONY AWARDS Broadcast Up for Writers Guild Award; Ceremony Tonight!

Thee June 2015 broadcast of the 69th Annual Tony Awards and writer Dave Boone were honored with a Writers Guild Award nomination this year in the Comedy/Variety - Music, Awards, Tributes - Specials category. Winners will be feted at the 2016 Writers Guild Awards today, February 13, 2016, at simultaneous ceremonies in Los Angeles and New York City.

Is It June Yet? 2016 Tonys Calendar Announced!

The Tony Awards have announced the calendar for the upcoming 2015-2016 Tony Awards season. The American Theatre Wing's 70th Annual Tony Awards will air on the CBS Television Network on Sunday, June 5, 2016 (8:00-11:00 PM, ET/delayed PT) live from New York City. The Tony Awards, which honors theater professionals for distinguished achievement on Broadway, has been broadcast on CBS since 1978. The Tony Awards are presented by The Broadway League and the American Theatre Wing.

Jennifer Ashley Tepper to Read From THE UNTOLD STORIES OF BROADWAY at the Tony Awards Pop-Up Shop

The Tony Awards and Dress Circle Publishing announce a special fan experience at the Tony Awards Pop-Up Shop. Author and musical theater historian Jennifer Ashley Tepper will be joined by Broadway favorites Jay Armstrong Johnson (On The Town), Amanda Green (Hands On A Hardbody), and Jim Walton (On The Twentieth Century) who will be reading excerpts from The Untold Stories of Broadway Volume 2, on Thursday, May 21st from 5:30 - 6:30PM.  The Tony Awards Pop-Up Shop is located at the Paramount Hotel and is open daily to visitors.

The American Theatre Wing has just launched an all-new online platform for its exclusive programming. The Wing's completely redesigned website features five premium content channels focused on highlighting the people, processes, and products that define the national theater landscape. These channels will feature new Wing content, classic Wing content, and specially curated content from an array of media partners.

Sponsored by Bernstein Global Wealth Management, this first symposium focused on women who make a difference through their efforts to create, sustain, and grow performing arts education and featuring an expert panel of women taking a closer look at the current financial state of the educational and professional arts environment. Moderated by acclaimed playwright Theresa Rebeck, the panel included Anne Bucciarelli (Bernstein Global Wealth Management), Victoria Bussert (Baldwin-Wallace University), Mariann Cook (Rider University), Kaitlin Hopkins (Texas State), Barbara Mackenzie-Wood (Carnegie Mellon), Catherine McNeela (Elon University) and Amy Rogers(Pace).
