SEATTLE, July 16, 2013 - Alaska Airlines will begin new seasonal service between Seattle and Steamboat Springs/Hayden, Colo., this winter. The twice-weekly flights will operate from Dec. 18, 2013, through March 29, 2014.

The Old Globe today announced the cast and creative team for the San Diego Premiere of the crime classic Double Indemnity, adapted by David Pichette and R. Hamilton Wright from the novel by James M. Cain. Directed by John Gould Rubin, Double Indemnity will run July 27 - August 25, 2013 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Lonesome George, the 100-year-old (estimated) Pinta Island tortoise (Chelonoidis abingdoni)-the last of his kind-who died in June 2012, will be preserved for posterity by the same expert taxidermy and conservation team that worked on the acclaimed renovation of the Jill and Lewis Bernard Family Hall of North American Mammals at the American Museum of Natural History. The world-famous giant tortoise, who continues to be an icon for conservation in Ecuador's Galapagos Islands, will be on display at the Museum for a limited time starting this winter.
