Academic Theatre and Interpreter Preparation Program Bring ROMEO AND JULIET to the Stage

As part of Performing Arts at the Community College of Baltimore County's "A Year of Shakespeare," Academic Theatre at CCBC Catonsville and the Interpreter Preparation Program are teaming to present "Romeo and Juliet" in both spoken English and American Sign Language. Performances will be held March 23 at 11:10 a.m., March 24 and 25 at 8 p.m., March 26 at 3 p.m., and March 27 at 10 a.m. in the Center for the Arts Theatre at CCBC Catonsville, 800 S. Rolling Road. Tickets are available from the CCBC Box Office (443-840-2787) for $10 for general admission, $5 for seniors, students, CCBC faculty, staff and alumni and free to students with current CCBC IDs.

Author and Philanthropist Jean Shafiroff and Martin Shafiroff hosted a reception on Tuesday night to announce the honorees at the New York City Mission Society's annual Champions for Children Gala on Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at the Mandarin Oriental NY. This year's honorees are legendary actress and singer Diahann Carroll, entrepreneur Don Peebles, and three lifetime members of the Mission Society's Board of Directors: actress and philanthropist Dina Merrill Hartley, whose family has supported the Mission Society for four generations; Lloyd W. Brown, II; and, LTC Francis W. Kairson, Jr. (Ret).

Kaufman Music Center's 2017 Broadway Playhouse season concludes with a celebration of Alan Menken on Sunday, March 5th at 11am. The world premiere of the long-awaited Jim Steinman's Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical will take place in London's West End at the London Coliseum, opening on Tuesday 20 June 2017, following previews from 5 June, for a limited season until 22 July 2017. The show began previews at Manchester Opera House on 17 February, running until 8 April 2017.
