Ovation, design expert Lisa S. Roberts and Nancy Glass Productions have collaborated on a new original series, MY DESIGN LIFE, which will premiere on Wednesday, August 24 at 8pm ET/PT with two back-to-back episodes.

New York's Cafe Carlyle comes to life in San Francisco when Bay Area Cabaret presents the winners of New York's coveted Nightlife Award, jazz guitarist John Pizzarelli and his wife, Broadway star Jessica Molaskey (Tommy, Sunday in the Park with George).

To inaugurate new first-floor gallery space, the Brooklyn Museum will present the special exhibition Thinking Big: Recent Design Acquisitions from March 4 through May 29, 2011. The installation of forty-five twentieth- and twenty-first-century objects from the Museum's permanent collection of decorative arts that have been acquired since 2000 will include a number of large-scale objects that will be exhibited for the first time.

Last week's concert moved faster than previous years' had, but also felt calmer and gentler, with plenty of ballads and crooned jazz standards.
