According to the Hollywood Reporter, stage veterans Nicholas Hoult, John Kassir, Ewan McGregor, Ian McShane, Bill Nighy, and Stanley Tucci are on board for New Line/Legendary's 'Jack the Giant Killer.' The movie will be written by Darren Lemke and directed by Bryan Singer.

Lipuma announce the company's 20th Anniversary Season, which includes The Real Thing by Tom Stoppard, directed by Artistic Director Michael Halberstam; Harold Pinter's The Caretaker, directed by Ron OJ Parson; Hesperia by Randall Colburn, directed by Associate Artistic Director Stuart Carden; and A Little Night Music, with music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler, directed by William Brown. Writers' also presents a limited engagement of Robert Hewett's The Blonde, the Brunette and the Vengeful Redhead, currently available only to Writers' Theatre Subscribers and Members.

The Carlyle Hotel welcomed Olivier and Tony Award-winner Douglas Hodge (La Cage Aux Folles) to the legendary Café Carlyle in his debut engagement last night, March 15. Playing through Saturday, March 26, Mr. Hodge returns to New York to offer an evening of great American story songs, including some of his own compositions from the new musical, Meantime. For the act, he plays piano, guitar, and sings with support from a 3-piece band: Sonny Paladino (piano/musical director), Steve Millhouse (bass), and Jared Schonig (drums).

Mary-Arrchie Theatre Co. is excited to present for its' second show of their 25th season,The Homecoming by Harold Pinter at Angel Island, 735 W. Sheridan. It will open Friday, March 4th, 2011 at 8 p.m. and run Thursday through Saturday at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. Tickets are $18 on Thursday and Sunday, $20 on Friday, and $22 on Saturday. There will be no performance on Thursday, November 25th. There will be previews on Wednesday & Thursday March 2nd and 3rd at 8 p.m. Tickets for previews are $5. We will close on Sunday, April 10th, 2011 at 7 p.m. There is parking available in the Mobil Gas Station across from the theater at a fee determined by Mobil Gas.
