Actors Studio at Pace University Presents 2010 Repertory Season 3/24-5/1

This year's 31 Master of Fine Arts (MFA) candidates of the Actors Studio Drama School at Pace University have lived throughout the world (six countries, 19 states and two Caribbean islands). They've played professional tennis, recited slam poetry, and pirouetted in a tutu, as well as acted classically, comedically and experimentally. But all have chosen to spend the last three years in New York City, two express subway stops from Broadway, following their dream and refining their craft as actors, directors or playwrights in the only Masters' theater program endorsed by the renowned Actors Studio.

Harvard University's Hasty Pudding Club, the oldest theatrical group in the U.S., has chosen stage and screen favorite Anne Hathaway as its Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year. The honor is bestowed upon the selected thespian each year in an over-the-top ceremony involving a well costumed parade through Cambridge and a roast in their honor. This year's event will take place on January 28.

The 67th Golden Globe Awards were broadcast live on NBC tonight from the Beverly Hilton. The awards ceremony was seen in more than 160 countries worldwide and is one of the few awards ceremonies that span both television and motion picture achievements. Winners of this year's awards include GLEE for Best Television Series - Comedy or Musical, Meryl Streep for 'Julie & Julia', Michael C. Hall for 'Dexter', Alec Baldwin for '30 Rock', John Lithgow for his role on 'Dexter', Christoph Waltz for 'Inglourious Basterds', and HBO's 'Grey Gardens'.

Halle Berry, Colin Farrell and Matthew Fox will join the previously announced Julia Robert, Jennifer Aniston and Mickey Rourke as presenters at 'The 67th Annual Golden Globe Awards' on Sunday, January 17. Halle Berry will host "An Evening of Awareness" on Monday, November 16, 2009 at the Crosby Street Hotel. The event will benefit The Jenesse Center Inc., prevention center for domestic violence for women and children; and The Trevor Project, the leading national organization focused on crisis and suicide prevention efforts among lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth.

The Broadway casts of RACE and SUPERIOR DONUTS have participated in an online auction to aid the Women In Need charity. The casts designed houses relating to their shows and have put them up for auction on the website www.charitybuzz.com. The proceeds from the auction will benefit the Women In Need group.
