Rubicon Theatre Company makes the holidays merry and musical with special concerts at the theatre for audiences of all ages.

Lynne Meadow (Artistic Director) and Barry Grove (Executive Producer) have just announced that Manhattan Theatre Club, by special arrangement with Gorgeous Entertainment, will produce the Broadway premiere of Prince of Broadway, a musical celebration that highlights the extraordinary six-decade career of director and producer Harold Prince. Prince of Broadway will start previews Thursday, August 3, 2017 for a Thursday, August 24, 2017 opening night at MTC's Samuel J. Friedman Theatre (261 West 47th Street).

When MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG opened on Broadway in 1981, no one anticipated that it would be a flop. With a score by Stephen Sondheim and direction by Hal Prince, it should have been the next success in a series of highly successful collaborations by the two kings of musical theatre, following such game changers as COMPANY, FOLLIES, A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, PACIFIC OVERTURES, and SWEENEY TODD

As previously announced, Tony-Award-nominated actress, Emily Skinner, will head up an all star cast for a newly conceptualized production of Into The Woods at Theatre Under The Stars this holiday season. The production, which is being directed and choreographed by Tony Award Nominee Robert Longbottom, will run in Houston from December 6 - 18, 2016 at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts. TUTS has just announced complete casting for the production.

If variety is the spice of life, Kenny Solms has tasted great success. Touted in his hometown newspaper as 'Philadelphia's funniest person,' he began his career in New York, where he teamed up with New York University classmate Gail Parent to create material for Leonard Sillman's last Broadway revue New Faces, and sketches for New York's famed Upstairs at the Downstairs. His collaboration with Ms. Parent climaxed with their co-creation of the now legendary Emmy award winning The Carol Burnett Show.

One of the truly legendary musicals in the history of Broadway, Merrily We Roll Along opened to enormous fanfare in 1981, and closed after sixteen performances. For the first time, Best Worst Thing That Ever Could Have Happened  draws back the curtain on the extraordinary drama of the show's creation - and tells the stories of the hopeful young performers whose lives were transformed by it. Directed by Lonny Price, a member of the original cast, the film is a bittersweet meditation on the choices we all make, and the often unexpected consequences of those choices -- through success and failure. Featuring exclusive appearances by Stephen Sondheim, Hal Prince, Jason Alexander, Mandy Patinkin, Adam Guettel, Frank Rich and the original Broadway cast of Merrily We Roll Along.  Below, Richard Ridge chats with Price about his journey with the musical, the creation of the documentary, and so much more!

Internationally renowned musical phenomenon, The Four Phantoms, join the cast of theHoliday Movie Skating Spectacular: Where Did They Film That?
