NBC has issued its first scripted series pickup for the 2010-11 season with the order of the drama 'Undercovers' from acclaimed writer/producer/director J.J. According to a report in the Hollywood Reporter, J.J. Abrams has found a leading lady for his new television project, 'Undercovers'. British actress Gugu Mbatha-Raw will star opposite Boris Kodjoe in the upcoming pilot for NBC, which will be directed by Abrams. The plot of 'Undercovers' revolves 'around a domesticated husband (Kodjoe) and wife (Mbatha-Raw) who are re-activated as CIA agents after years of retirement.'

The production, which began performances on September 12 and opened October 6, is playing a limited run through Sunday, December 6 only at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 West 44th Street).
