The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust will present the fourth annual Pittsburgh JazzLive International Festival (PJLIF) on June 20-22, 2014. PJLIF will consist of three days of free jazz and jazz-influenced musical performances on outdoor stages throughout downtown Pittsburgh's Cultural District. PJLIF attracts more than 20,000 attendees from around the country. The Festival features local, emerging, and national and international musicians in a variety of performance settings, including outdoor performance stages and indoor performance locations within local restaurants, coffee shops and galleries.

Gregory Porter has won his first Grammy Award for Best Jazz Vocal Album Liquid Spirit. Porter's award was announced at the 56th Annual Grammy Awards held on Sunday, January 26, 2014 in Los Angeles.

The Pittsburgh Cultural Trust celebrates National Jazz Appreciation Month throughout April 2014 with performances by Grammy Award-winning musicians and iconic jazz performers. The evening will feature Grammy®-nominated jazz vocalist Gregory Porter in a performance curated by award-winning actress, director, playwright, and Artistic Director of the DC Hip-Hop Theatre Festival Kamilah Forbes. The program will blend Porter's music with the spoken word, highlighting works and performances by some of today's most innovative female poets, including Holly Bass, Mahogany Browne, Vanessa Hidary, and Kelly Zen-Yie Tsai. The one-hour performance will be streamed live on the Center's website and archived for future viewing.
