Silver Spring Stage presents Superior Donuts by Tracy Letts, directed by Stenise Reaves and produced by Lennie Magida, funny and moving story of a decrepit donut shop in Chicago that explores the challenges of embracing the past and the redemptive power of friendship when the owner hires a young African-American as his only employee. Superior Donuts will perform weekends February 21 to March 15, 2014.

Variety reports that CBS has ordered full seasons of its new freshman comedies “The Crazy Ones,” “The Millers” and “Mom.”
Steppenwolf Theatre Company and ensemble member Tracy Letts, Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning playwright ofAugust: Osage County, will host Juliette Lewis, Margo Martindale and Julianne Nicholson as the guests of honor at the fifth annual Steppenwolf Salutes Women in the Arts fundraising luncheon on Monday, December 9, 2013 at 12 noon (location TBD). All three of these dynamic women are featured in Letts's highly anticipated film adaptation of August: Osage County. This year's event will featured a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the film, in addition to an insightful conversation with Lewis, Martindale and Nicholson, moderated by Letts in a format similar to Inside the Actors Studio. Previous honorees at Steppenwolf Salutes Women in the Arts include ensemble members Joan Allen and Martha Plimpton, Julianna Margulies and Mary-Louise Parker.
Nelson Franklin ('VEEP,' 'New Girl') has joined the cast of the new CBS fall comedy The Millers as a series regular. He joins Will Arnett, Emmy Award winner Margo Martindale, Emmy Award winner Beau Bridges, JB Smoove and Jayma Mays, who was previously announced.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jayma Mays will replace Mary Elizabeth Ellis (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia) in CBS' new comedy THE MILLERS, starring Will Arnett.
While it does have a few areas that could improve and may be a long night for the kids, Sam Bass's double header of The Secret Garden and The Yellow Boat is overall an enjoyable evening of theatre that will entertain and enchant the kids while moving the adults to tears.

CBS unveiled today its new 2013-2014 schedule, featuring eight new series - five comedies and three dramas - to build on the strength of America's top-rated network. Five of the new series will premiere in the fall and three at mid-season.
CBS is in the midst of solidifying its fall lineup, giving a series order to the comedy CRAZY ONES, a father-daughter workplace comedy starring Robin Williams and Sarah Michelle Gellar. The network has also picked up three other comedies, as well as two dramas, according to Deadline.

Beau Bridges has officially signed on to play Will Arnett's father in CBS' upcoming comedy pilot, which is still currently untitled.
FOX has picked up comedy series NEW GIRL, THE MINDY PROJECT and RAISING HOPE for the 2013-14 season, it was announced today by Kevin Reilly, Chairman of Entertainment, Fox Broadcasting Company. NEW GIRL was picked up for a third season, THE MINDY PROJECT received a second season order and RAISING HOPE was renewed for a fourth season.
'The Waitress' from IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA is finally moving on from her barista position. According to Deadline, Mary Elizabeth Ellis is set to co-star in Greg Garcia's upcoming CBS comedy pilot opposite Will Arnett. Garcia is also set to executive produce the project.
