BBC AMERICA's Doctor Who is blazing a global trail to match Jodie Whittaker's revolutionary first season as the Doctor. The network's US premiere will start at the same time as the UK debut on-air on Sunday, October 7th (time to be announced), followed by a special encore in its new regular primetime evening slot. For the run of the season, Doctor Who will premiere regularly on BBC AMERICA on its new marquee night on Sundays.

BBC AMERICA and WOMEN'S MEDIA CENTER have entered into a strategic alliance, with the goal of expanding both the diversity and representation of women in media. In the coming months, BBC AMERICA and WOMEN'S MEDIA CENTER will partner on initiatives to enrich, engage, and enlighten through proprietary analysis and content alliances as a way to spark change. The first partnership is a research study that will look at how depictions of women on screen impact young women and girls, with findings to be published later this year.

BBC AMERICA's fan and critical favorite Killing Eve capped its first season with an unbroken record of weekly ratings growth in the key adults 25-54 and 18-49 demos – something no other show on television has accomplished in more than a decade. The finale delivered series highs with 1.25 million viewers in Nielsen live+3 ratings, up 86 percent from premiere, with 545,000 adults 25-54 and 378,000 adults 18-49, up 127 percent and 100 percent from premiere, respectively. The season finale was also the #1 most social drama of the day.
Jeff Goldblum Will Release Debut Jazz Album

Variety has reported that Jeff Goldblum will record his first jazz album and release it on Decca Records. The album came about after the actor accompanied soul-jazz singer Gregory Porter on the BBC talk show The Graham Norton Show last October while promoting his film Thor: Ragnarok. Goldblum's skills caught the attention of Decca executives during the episode.

BBC AMERICA's breakout drama Killing Eve has matched critical acclaim and buzz with consistent viewership gains not seen by any scripted series on television in more than a decade. Leading into Sunday's season one finale, the show has posted an unbroken streak of ratings growth in the key adults 25-54 and adults 18-49 demos stretching all the way back to its premiere. Across seven weeks, the series grew a total of 47 percent in total viewers, 90 percent in adults 25-54 and 94 percent in 18-49 from its premiere episode on April 8 in Nielsen live+3 ratings. The penultimate episode last Sunday delivered 986,000 total viewers, 455,000 adults 25-54, and 367,000 adults 18-49, all series highs.

Midway through its first season, the new BBC AMERICA drama Killing Eve has accomplished something that is virtually unheard of in television today – the series has seen an increase in viewers every week since its premiere, growing a total of 33 percent in total viewers and 61 percent in adults 25-54 from its premiere episode on April 8 to the fourth episode last Sunday.

The historic event airs with limited commercial breaks as the centerpiece of a week of celebratory programming that includes the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana and the US television premiere of Harry and Meghan: A Very Modern Romance.
