The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts today announced the 2011-2012 seasons for the Kennedy Center, National Symphony Orchestra and Washington National Opera. In wide-ranging programming that covers theater, dance, classical music, jazz, and productions for young people, the Kennedy Center continues its commitment, as the nation's center for the performing arts, to producing and presenting the best of national and international arts.
Princess Grace Awards Now Accepting Applications

The Princess Grace Foundation-USA (PGF-USA) announces the availability of applications for the 2011 Princess Grace Awards in theater, playwriting, dance performance, choreography, and film. Founded in 1982, in memory of Princess Grace (Kelly) of Monaco, the Foundation identifies and assists emerging artists in theater, dance and film and has awarded more than $8 million to nearly 500 individuals nationwide. Broadway Helps Revive Bucks County Playhouse

After the resignation of owner/producer Ralph Miller, the Bucks County Playhouse will be officially taken over by a slew of theatre professionals and notable New Hope residents. The takeover of the 450 seat, historic venue occurs after recently being repossesed by Stonebridge bank. Renovation plans are in store for the historic theatre, which will be headed by the newly developed Bucks County Playhouse Conservancy.
