New York Theatre Ballet to Present LEGENDS AND VISIONAIRES 2015 at Danspace Project, 10/1

New York Theatre Ballet will perform Legends & Visionaries 2015 from October 1-3, 2015 at Danspace Project, 131 E. 10th Street, NYC. Performances: Thursday, Friday and Saturday at 8pm. A Season Opening Event will take place on Thursday at 7pm in the garden. Duke Lafoon Stars as 'George Bailey' in Goodspeed's A WONDERFUL LIFE, Beginning Tonight

Grammy and Emmy Award-winner Joe Raposo and Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize winner Sheldon Harnick's uplifting musical A WONDERFUL LIFE reminds us how one person's life can touch that of so many others. Based on the beloved 1946 holiday movie classic, this charming musical is sure to inspire and entertain. A WONDERFUL LIFE will run tonight, September 18, through November 29 at the Goodspeed Opera House in East Haddam, Conn. Official Press Opening will be October 14, 2015.

Gattelli & Flaherty's IN YOUR ARMS, Featuring 10 Dance Vignettes by Iconic Writers, Begins Tonight at The Old Globe

The Old Globe opens its 2015-2016 Season with IN YOUR ARMS, a World Premiere dance-theatre musical featuring direction and choreography by Tony Award winner Christopher Gattelli (Newsies, Godspell, Lincoln Center Theater's The King and I and South Pacific) and original music by Tony Award winner Stephen Flaherty (Ragtime, Once on This Island; two-time Oscar nominee for Anastasia). The production begins tonight, September 16, with an opening slated for September 24, and runs through October 25, 2015.

Katrina Lenk, Richard Topol, Lenny Wolpe and More to Star in Yale Rep's INDECENT World Premiere

Yale Repertory Theatre opens its 2015-16 season with the world premiere of INDECENT, a new play with music, written by Paula Vogel, created by Paula Vogel and Rebecca Taichman, and directed by Rebecca Taichman, at the University Theatre (222 York Street), October 2-24. Opening Night is Thursday, October 8. The world premiere of INDECENT is a co-production with La Jolla Playhouse, where it will play November 13-December 10.

SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER Opens This Month at Ogunquit Playhouse

Davis and actor Gary Farmer will lead the cast of Goodspeed's INDIAN JOE. Based on a true story, INDIAN JOE, a new musical about discovering the true meaning of family, will inspire Connecticut audiences this fall. Second Annual Play! in CT Fall Theatre Festival Set for October

Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts announced today two major corporate gifts. Tupperware Brands and Ravago Americas are both contributing $1 million on top of previous gifts. Naming rights were given to both companies with their initial gifts -- the Tupperware Brands Lobby is situated at the stage door lobby that welcomes artists, students and people doing business at the arts center. The Ravago Terrace Bar on Tier Three features a view of the Seneff Arts Plaza and the DeVos Family Room.

Trinity Rep Chooses New Executive Director

Following a national search, Trinity Repertory Company, the State Theater of Rhode Island, has named the highly accomplished Tom Parrish as Executive Director. Parrish takes over from Michael Gennaro who left in February to take a similar position at renowned Goodspeed Musicals. Parrish will begin his role full-time in Providence in late fall.

THE LION Begins Tonight at Merrimack Repertory Theatre

Merrimack Repertory Theatre (MRT)'s new Artistic Director Sean Daniels opens his first season at the helm of the company with 'The Lion,' a solo-musical written and performed by Benjamin Scheuer and directed by Daniels. After highly-praised runs in Edinburgh and London, two Off-Broadway productions, and several awards, 'The Lion' is beginning a two-year national tour that launches from MRT. The gripping musical takes the audience on one man's musical journey from boyhood to manhood, through pain and healing, to discover the redemptive power of music.
