Recently, filmmaker and master puppeteer, Roberto Ferreira, co-founder of the Puppet School of San Francisco, L.A., and New York, (www.PuppetSchool.com) came to TheatreWorks New Milford to prep the cast on the finer points of puppeteering for the premiere of the Theatre's upcoming hit musical comedy, AVENUE Q. With Book by Jeff Whitty and Music & Lyrics by Robert Lopez and Jeff Marx, this puppet-filled production won the coveted 2004 Tony 'Triple Crown' for Best Musical, Best Score, and Best Book.

Recently, TheatreWorks announced its 2014 line-up of theatrical performances at a party hosted by Spruce Home & Garden, a retailer of upper-end home products and accessories, on Bank Street in New Milford. Over 100 subscribers, donors, and special guests, along with the Board of Directors of TheatreWorks, gathered for a few hours to mingle and dine on appetizers from New Milford's Ristorante Lucia, which then hosted a post-event party at the restaurant.

Recently, TheatreWorks president Glenn R. Couture, other members of the board, and special dignitaries were on hand for a ribbon-cutting ceremony to commemorate the new enclosed reception area, which was once part of TheatreWorks New Milford's back deck. The ceremony was held as the theater was getting ready to stage a performance of its current main stage offering, the Irish comedy-drama, THE CRIPPLE OF INISHMAAN by Martin McDonagh.
