South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) has announced its 2014-15 performance schedule through February 2015.

The Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts 2014-2015 Recital Series begins with a performance by Crystal Award-winning pianist Sean Chen at Pepperdine University at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 19. Due to popular demand, this performance has been moved from Raitt Recital Hall to the larger Smothers Theatre.

The King Center will welcome Glenn Miller Orchestra in the Studio Theatre and Foreigner on the Main Stage this winter. Details below!

The Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra begins its 2014-15 season on Sept. 13, with a new Associate Conductor, many outstanding guest artists, and collaborations slated with many of the area's leading cultural and educational institutions. A recording project for Naxos will shed light on the works of the little-known French composer Florent Schmitt, and the orchestra will continue its search for a new pops conductor and concertmaster.

Recognizing the powerful role music can play in a person's life at any age, the Music Institute of Chicago is offering a wide range of opportunities for adults to enhance their lives through musical instruction and performance in a fun, relaxed setting. Registration for Adult Studies and Adult Enrichment Programs is open, with classes beginning September 10 in Evanston, Winnetka and Lake Forest.
