Works & Process at the Guggenheim is pleased to announce its fall 2018 season, which includes new dance and music commissions, and a gala featuring a revival performance of a Works & Process Rotunda Project in the Guggenheim's iconic Frank Lloyd Wright-designed space. Since 1984 the performing-arts series has championed new works and offered audiences unprecedented access to leading choreographers, composers, dancers, musicians, and playwrights, among others. Programs explore the creative process through stimulating discussions with artists and riveting performance highlights. Each 70-minute program takes place in the museum's Peter B. Hubbard Street Dance Chicago Celebrates 40th Anniversary At Jacob's Pillow

On the occasion of their 40th anniversary, world-renowned Hubbard Street Dance Chicago returns to Jacob's Pillow with a diverse program featuring today's leading contemporary choreographers including Ohad Naharin, Crystal Pite, resident choreographer Alejandro Cerrudo, and founder Lou Conte. Praised as "a near-perfect storm of movement, music, and choreography" (Los Angeles Times), Hubbard Street brings an eclectic repertoire performed by an impeccably strong, technically-driven ensemble of dancers to the Ted Shawn Theatre, August 1-5.

Dance for Life Raises $233,000 at Annual Gala

Chicago Dancers United (CDU), which mobilizes Chicago's dance community by raising funds through dance, welcomed nearly 2,300 guests at the 26th annual Dance for Life Chicago performance August 19 at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, 50 E. Congress Pkwy. Approximately 600 guests attended a pre-performance gala reception at the Hilton Chicago, 720 S. Michigan Avenue. From a combination of ticket sales, sponsorships and contributions, Dance for Life Chicago raised more than $233,000 to support Chicago Dancers United's The Dancers' Fund, which provides assistance to members of the dance community coping with critical health and life issues, and the AIDS Foundation of Chicago.

Hubbard Street Dance Chicago and Artistic Director Glenn Edgerton are excited to announce the main company's 2017-18 season performances in Chicago celebrating the company's 40 year history. Tickets to the three engagements at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance in Millennium Park located at 205 East Randolph Street, and a fourth performance at the Auditorium Theatre, located at 50 E Congress Pkwy, will be available to subscribers for renewal beginning April 13 as a Season 40 subscription; Season 40 subscriptions and single tickets will be available for purchase following the Season 39 Summer Series, June 8-11, 2017.
