Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS is taking pre-orders now for Broadway's Carols for a Cure, Volume 15, and will be mailing the CDs out beginning November 1st.

This is the first time an artist will be in residency the Blue Note's Sunday Brunch shows for a full month, with Henry to perform two shows every Sunday in November at 12:30PM and 2:30PM.

Tonight, Oct. 6 at 7 p.m., Joilet Harris will perform an evening of Gladys Knight and Nancy Wilson songs. Harris is the Barrymore-Award Winning Star of Ella: The Musical, Caroline or Change and A Raisin in the Sun.

Written and performed by singer songwriter Shelley Fisher, it is a one woman musical which chronicles Ms Fisher's Hollywood odyssey that begins in the heart of the Mississippi Delta in her hometown of Memphis, Tennessee, birthplace of Rock 'n' Roll, Blues and Bar-b-cue. Growing up Jewish in the deep South with a flamboyant mother who frowned on her dating the local redneck boys, The Hebrew Hillbilly begins singing as a little girl and never stops. From her early years as a blonde bombshell, through her current incarnation as The Memphis Belle of L.A., Ms Fisher has been on a show business rollercoaster that slows down just long enough for her audience to climb on board this deeply personal, yet universally appealing and hilarious ride. The production is directed by Rory Mitchell with 14 original songs written by Shelley Fisher, Kenneth Hirsch (musical director), and Harold Payne. The Hebrew Hillbilly will be shown at the Santa Monica Playhouse, (1211 4th St, Santa Monica) October 12 - November 3.

Fresh off a hugely successful, sold-out US summer tour, internationally-acclaimed jazz/soul chanteuse Nicole Henry has earned a 2013 Centric Soul Train Award nomination for Best Traditional Jazz Performance for her stellar performance of “Waiting in Vain,” off her latest album 'SO GOOD, SO RIGHT: NICOLE HENRY LIVE.' Henry is the only solo female artist in a male-dominated category, placing her in great company with fellow nominees including George Benson (featuring Wynton Marsalis), Jeffrey Osborne (featuring Chaka Khan), Tony Bennett (featuring Marc Anthony), and Terence Blanchard. He's jammed on the beach with Roy Orbison's sons Roy Jr. and Alex, hung out with Zoey Bonham(daughter of John Bonham and sister of Jason) and has had Planet and Sierra Swan, daughters of '70s pop singer Billy Swan, do backup vocals for him.
