Dixon Place Presents The World Premiere Of Phoebe Legere's SPEED QUEEN

Dixon Place (Ellie Covan, Founder and Artistic Director) is pleased to present the world premiere of SPEED QUEEN, written and performed by Pulitzer Prize-nominee Phoebe Legere, and directed by Lissa Moira at Dixon Place (161A Chrystie Street). The production will preview on March 7, 2018 with press opening on March 9, and performances on March 15, 16, 17, 23 and 24. All performances are at 7:30 PM.

Flint Youth Theatre Presents AKEELAH AND THE BEE

Palm Beach Opera Announces 2018-2019 Season Including Exciting New Concert

Palm Beach Opera today announced its 2018-2019 mainstage opera season, which will include performances of Giuseppe Verdi's La Traviata, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's Don Giovanni, and Johann Strauss' Die Fledermaus, as well as a new concert, Rising Stars of Opera. All of Palm Beach Opera's thrilling and elaborate productions will be performed in the Dreyfoos Concert Hall at the Kravis Center for the Performing Arts, 701 Okeechobee Blvd. in West Palm Beach.

The Red Dress Collection, is an exclusive event where celebrities and top designers show their commitment to women's heart health during New York Fashion Week and American Heart Month. The Center For The Arts THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE

Members of The Flora L. Thornton Opera Program will perform W.S. Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan's most popular comic operetta "The Pirates of Penzance" at Pepperdine University's Smothers Theatre from Wednesday, February 21 through Saturday, February 24 at 7:30 p.m. at the Lisa Smith Wengler Center for the Arts.

George London Foundation Presents Heidi Melton & Kyle van Schoonhoven in Recital

Soprano Heidi Melton is the 2009 George London-Kirsten Flagstad Award winner who in February sings the role of Sieglinde in the New York Philharmonic's concert performance of Act I of Wagner's Die Walküre led by Jaap van Zweden, and tenor Kyle van Schoonhoven is the winner of the Nicolai Gedda Memorial Award at the 2017 George London competition as well as a 2017 Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions winner. These two young rising stars join pianist Craig Rutenberg to perform a joint recital, the final event of the George London Foundation's 2017-18 season, on Sunday, March 4, 2018, at 4:00 pm, at the Morgan Library and Museum's Gilder Lehrman Hall.

Stacy Keach Makes Triumphant Return to The Goodman in Rescheduled PAMPLONA

Today, Goodman Theatre announces the Summer 2018 return of Jim McGrath's Pamplona starring stage and screen veteran Stacy Keach as Ernest Hemingway, directed by Artistic Director Robert Falls. Originally scheduled for Spring 2017, Pamplona appeared for 11 preview performances but closed prematurely after its star suddenly fell ill on Opening Night and doctors ordered recuperation.

Cast Announced For BAT OUT OF HELL At Dominion

With the show's stellar leads, Andrew Polec and Christina Bennington, previously announced, the full company has now been cast for the 2018 West End run of Jim Steinman's Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical, winner of the Evening Standard Radio 2 Audience Award for Best Musical 2017. Portland Stage has mounted an adaptation of Isak Dinesen's short story Babette's Feast, conceived by Abigail Killeen and written by Rose Courtney, that retains the message of grace and humanity at the core of the tale, while casting the narrative in an entirely different, highly contemporaneous light. Intriguing and sometimes perplexing in its Brechtian staging, this production adheres closely to the Dinesen text and bears little resemblance to the iconic movie of 1987.

Houston Grand Opera Announces CONCERT OF ARIAS 2018 Winners

Houston Grand Opera (HGO) announced today the winners of the 30th annual Eleanor McCollum Competition for Young Singers that took place at Stude Concert Hall at Rice University. For the second time, the Concert of Arias was streamed live on Facebook, as well as on YouTube for the first time. The livestream was hosted by award-winning soprano and HGO Studio alumna Tamara Wilson. The winners were announced during the second portion of the program.

Mozart Requiem Comes to Walnut Creek This March
