The Sound of Music is a show that's very difficult to stage badly. Nuns, cute kids, Nazis to boo - throw in some of musical theatre's most hummable songs and it's a guaranteed crowd-pleaser.

A weekend of programming events, including a Sing-Along telecast hosted by the cast, will be presented on Disney Channel. Sunday, July 7, Rhino Room will come alive with the giggles of stand-up comedy's toughest critics: children. Hosted by Fringe favourite children's character Mr. Snot Bottom (played by Mark Trenwith), Adelaide Comedy's Kids' Show will be the first of many stand-up shows specifically for children.

Andrea Meislin Gallery is pleased to announce Perchance to Dream, a group show featuring 25 artists whose works address themes of sleep and intimacy with a variety of techniques and aesthetics. Taken from Shakespeare's Hamlet, the title of the show comes from the tragic hero's famous soliloquy in which he considers love, pain, and death, wondering what dreams may come after life. This survey of 24 photographs, one etching, and one video is dynamic despite its supposedly quiet theme. Whether the subjects are peaceful, broken, vulnerable, or playful, the photographs encourage us to consider the dreams that are not laid bare, to insert our own suggestions into the often enigmatic scenarios.

Sometimes there's nothing as hysterical as hysteria. That's the main premise of Reefer Madness, currently produced by Doctuh Mistuh Productions, a musical satire about the dangers of marijuana.
