Success in academia is not always transferable to personal or professional success upon leaving the halls of ivy. Playwright Mike Lew explores this phenomenon in his new comedy TIGER STYLE! The laughs come fast and furiously as siblings Albert and Jennifer Chen struggle to figure out who to blame for their recent failures as adults. From California to China, they try on different identities in an effort to find out where they belong. Think Dorothy Gale takes a newer, hipper journey.

BWW Review: SENSE AND SENSIBILITY at Guthrie Theater

The Guthrie's well cast, wittily directed, beautifully costumed production of a new adaptation of one of Jane Austen's beloved novels is a delightful concoction, firmly set in period but updated to our time in terms of thematic emphasis. This upbeat show is well worth a visit, even if you are someone who finds the marriage plot kind of a yawner, usually.

BWW REVIEW: Teen Dreams Are as Empty as the Calories in MILK LIKE SUGAR

There's not much hope for the girls at the center of MILK LIKE SUGAR, Kirsten Greenidge's Obie Award-winning play about teenagers seeking fulfillment through pregnancy. Though the writing can be cliched at times, portrayals and direction are truthful. Thanks to excellent performances throughout, the memory of each of the play's imperfect characters will linger.
