The Muny is presenting the sixth show of its fantastic 95th Season, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh's Mary Poppins the Musical, directed by Gary Griffin and choreographed by Alex Sanchez. Jenny Powers stars in the title role, with Rob McClure co-starring as Bert. Joining them are Erin Dilly as Winifred Banks and Stephen Buntrock as George Banks. Rounding out the cast will be Elizabeth Teeter as Jane Banks, Aidan Gemme as Michael Banks, James Anthony as Admiral Boom, Zoe Vonder Haar as Mrs. Brill, Anthony Christian Daniel as Robertson Ay, Laura Ackermann as the Bird Woman, and Rebecca Finnegan as Queen Victoria. Music Theatre of Wichita will present the U.S. Premiere of the new musical Betty Blue Eyes. The first new musical produced by LES MISERABLES and Phantom of the Opera producer Cameron Mackintosh in more than a decade, Betty Blue Eyes celebrated a critically acclaimed run in London in 2011. Music Theatre of Wichita is the first North American theatre to be licensed for performance of the musical, and the first professional theatre anywhere to stage the show since its West End closing. Evening performances run Wednesday July 24 -Saturday July 27 at 8pm and Sunday July 28 at 7pm; matinee performances are Saturday and Sunday at 2pm. On September 22, COLLABORATIONS: The songs of Elliot Davis written with Anthony Drewe, George Stiles, Graham Gouldman (10cc), Stephen Clark and James Bourne (Busted), will be performed as a part of St. James Studio Cabaret Weekends.The event will be performed on the night by the finest performers from the West End including: Julie Atherton, Paul Baker, Cassie Compton, Gavin Creel, Gary Kemp, James Rhodes, Caroline Sheen, Jos Slovick, Carley Stenson, Scarlett Strallen, Kara Tointon and Michael Xavier.

The National Alliance for Musical Theatre (NAMT) announced on June 28 the nine musicals selected to be part of the 25th Annual Festival of New Musicals on Thursday, October 17 and Friday, October 18 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street).

Denver Center Attractions and producers Thomas Schumacher of Disney Theatrical Productions and Cameron Mackintosh have announced that the award-winning musical MARY POPPINS, returns to The Buell Theatre for one week only today, May 1-5.

The beloved Disney classic, MARY POPPINS, is set to land in Kansas City at the Music Hall next year. The show will play a limited run from today, April 9 to April 14, 2013.

The Jacksonville premiere of MARY POPPINS opens tonight, Tuesday, January 22 at 7:30PM at the Times-Union Center for a limited engagement of 8 performances through Sunday, January 27.
