Ovation Award-nominated actor/composer, and star of the Off-Broadway hit musical Murder for Two, Brett Ryback will premiere new songs at 54 Below in Songs I Wrote, a night featuring his work as a composer/lyricist.

The Public Theater's production of David Byrne and Alex Timbers' smash hit musical, Here Lies Love, begins performances on April 14th with an opening night set for May 1st at The Public Theater's LuEsther Hall for an open-ended commercial run. The principal cast from the 2013 world premiere of Here Lies Love returns, including Ruthie Ann Miles and Jose Llana as Imelda and Ferdinand Marcos, and Conrad Ricamora as Ninoy Aquino. Following the debut performance of Moment by Moment at New York's 54 Below in 2013, the Broadway-studded cast of Alexander Sage Oyen's song cycle are heading into the studio later this month to produce an original cast recording. Moment by Moment, which also received its international debut in Thailand in 2013, is a hilarious and authentic look at what it means to be a young adult in a tech-driven, pup-culture-centric, entirely neurotic America. Songs include I Don't Want to Lie, The Bro Duet and Funny.

For a truly gifted musical theater genius, WICKED's composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz is picture-perfect as the laidback, generous, fun-loving avuncular figure that is the embodiment of all the high-spirited uncles that you've had as a kid growing up. Schwartz, comfortably (and most suitably for the occasion) clad in a black and green sports shirt, dressed-down gray jeans, well-loved sneakers, and seeming much more like the genial 'Wizard of Oz' than the green-skinned 'Elphaba' (which ironically, he admits, he is more like the latter), was the defining image of easy composure. Ready to bigheartedly answer questions from a select few media representatives, he cheerfully made his entrance onto the plush, intimately-set ambience of the conference room prepared by Concertus Manila and co-sponsor Diamond Hotel Tuesday, February 4.
