Marty Brown to Guest Host Country Classics TV Show

Singer/songwriter Marty Brown kicks off a four-episode guest hosting run on Country Classics TV show today, with new shows set to broadcast on April 8, April 15 and April 22. The weekly half-hour program is filmed at the Willie Nelson & Friends Museum in Nashville and features interviews and music videos from classic Country artists like George Strait, Willie Nelson, Pam Tillis, George Jones, Tanya Tucker and others. Country Classics airs domestically on Heartland TV and The Family Channel, and internationally on Country TV (NZ), Keep It Country (UK) and Cayman 27 (Cayman Islands). Check your local listings for air dates and times.

Vince Gill to Perform at the Orpheum Theatre

The King Center Presents An AEG Live! Production AARON LEWIS

Jack Tempchin Nominated to Songwriters Hall of Fame

As was previously announced, legendary songwriter JACK TEMPCHIN has been nominated to The Songwriters Hall of Fame with the official induction ceremony set to take place in June 2019. Over the last 50 years, Jack has written for the Eagles, George Jones and Emmylou Harris along with so many more.  Some of the hit songs Jack has penned include; “Peaceful Easy Feeling,” “Slow Dancing,” “The One You Love,” “Already Gone,” “Someone That You Used to Know,” “White Shoes” and who can forget, “You Belong To The City” and“Smuggler's Blues”from the Miami Vice TVsoundtrack.

National Veterans Foundation Adopts MAN OF STEEL As Theme Song

A new county song, inspired by wounded warriors, has been adopted as the official theme song of the Los Angeles-based National Veterans Foundation (NVF). Written and performed by Nashville recording artist Grant Maloy Smith, “Man of Steel” is about a soldier's abiding loyalty to his fellow troops, even after being severely wounded and pieced back together with “pins and wires.” Smith, who is known for his top 10 Billboard-charting album “Dust Bowl – American Stories,” got the idea for “Man of Steel” after meeting a wounded warrior during a layover at an airport.
