Casting for Cameron Mackintosh's new 25th anniversary production of Les Miserables has been announced for the premiere Pittsburgh engagement at the Benedum Center, Tuesday, January 15 through Sunday, January 27, 2013. The all new production of Les Miserables features glorious new staging and spectacular reimagined scenery inspired by the paintings of Victor Hugo.

George Donaldson has been a member of the 'Celtic Thunder' Scottish/Irish singing ensemble for the last four years and has enjoyed success on both sides of the Atlantic and Australia. The Lincoln Center Theater production of VANYA AND SONIA AND MASHA AND SPIKE, a new play by Christopher Durang, directed by Nicholas Martin has been extended through Sunday, January 20 at the Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater (150 West 65th Street). The production, which features Genevieve Angelson, Shalita Grant, Billy Magnussen, Kristine Nielsen, David Hyde Pierce and Sigourney Weaver, opened on Monday November 12 was originally scheduled to run through Sunday, January 13.

The 24th Annual GYPSY OF THE YEAR Competition, the culminating celebration of six weeks of fundraising by 51 participating Broadway, Off-Broadway and national touring companies, raised $3,902,608 for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

"An Evening with The Coterie", a night of thirteen musical theater and opera premieres, will be presented at the National Opera Center on December 15th at 7:30pm. The concert will feature soprano Lauren Worsham and lyrics by Royce Vavrek, co-founders of opera-theater company The Coterie, and two of the artists behind composer David T. Little's critically acclaimed opera "Dog Days", which premiered this September at Peak Performances @ Montclair.

Stages Repertory Theatre's PANTO MOTHER GOOSE is their fifth original "panto" production, and this new tradition has become quite the holiday favorite in Houston. For those who may not know, "panto" is a British tradition of winter musical comedy theater that puts a fresh, raucous spin on fairy tales by injecting the familiar stories with references to contemporary culture and encourages audience interaction (i.e. cheering for the heroes and booing the villains every time they enter the performance space). The product is a fun, lively performance that is fun for the whole family.

THE SOUND OF MUSIC, including Edward Hibbert (Max Detweiler), Anthony Fedorov (Rolf Gruber), Ben Davis (Captain) and Elena Shaddow (Maria), Chelsea Morgan Stock (Liesl), and more, will run at the Paper Mill Playhouse through December 30, 2012. Check out photos from last night's opening below!

According to the Daily Mail, Dinah Sheridan, starring actress of The Railway Children, passed away today, November 25, 2012. She was 92.

The Cools, a social shopping site known for its offline Jamboree events, will hold a Cyber Monday Jamboree on November 26 at the Dream Downtown in New York City. The event will serve to debut 26 exclusive holiday collaboration products which will be available on the site over the coming weeks leading up to the holiday season. The 26 product installations will be celebrated with a concert by American rapper and a member of the Wu-Tang Clan, Raekwon.
