Just last night, Paper Mill Playhouse opened the world-premiere musical Ever After, directed and choreographed by three-time Tony Award winner Kathleen Marshall (Anything Goes, Nice Work If You Can Get It), featuring a book and lyrics by Marcy Heislerand music by Zina Goldrich.  Ever After stars two-time Tony Award-winner Christine Ebersole (Grey Gardens, 42nd Street) as Baroness Rodmilla de Ghent, Tony Award nominee Tony Sheldon (Priscilla Queen of the Desert) as Leonardo da Vinci, Emmy Award winner Charles Shaughnessy (Urinetown, 'The Nanny') as King Francis, James Synder (If/Then) as Prince Henry and Drama Desk Award nominee Margo Seibert (Rocky) as Danielle de Barbarac. STARS IN THE ALLEY, presented by United Airlines, was held just yesterday in Shubert Alley, hosted by Darren Criss who is currently playing Hedwig in the 2014 Tony Award-winning Best Musical Revival, Hedwig and the Angry Inch. To add to the festivities leading up to the Tony Awards, the free outdoor concert in the heart of the Theatre District celebrated Broadway with star appearances and exciting performances from over 20 new shows and long-running favorites, accompanied by a 12-piece live orchestra, including many of this year's 2015 Tony Award - nominated plays and musicals! New Hampshire Theatre Project just announceed the 2015 Intelligent Theatre Festival. The festiabl will run through the month of June and features some knockout new work.

While performing her triumphant musical tour of the United States, European Cabaret artist Adrienne Haan followed up her recent critically acclaimed engagements at The Actors Temple and The Cutting Room in New York by dazzling audiences with her performances at the prestigious Embassy Series in Washington DC and sold out show at the Neue Galerie's Cafe Sabarsky in New York City.

Second Stage Theatre welcomes film star Amanda Seyfried (Les Miserables, Dear John, Mamma Mia!, upcoming Ted 2 and Pan) in her off-Broadway debut opposite Thomas Sadoski (The Newsroom, Wild, upcoming in NBC's The Slap) in the world premiere production of NEIL LaBUTE's drama, The Way We Get By. Directed by Tony nominee LEIGH SILVERMAN, the production began previews on April 28, 2015 and officially opened last night, May 19, 2015 at Second Stage Theatre, 305 West 43rd Street. Gingold Theatrical Group's PROJECT SHAW just presented the 1912 one-act comedy OVERRULED, last night at Symphony Space's Leonard Nimoy Thalia Theatre (2895 Broadway at 95th St.). Overruled starred Robert Cuccioli (Mr. Lunn), Heidi Armbruster(Mrs. Lunn), Alison Cimmet (Mrs. Juno), Dan Butler (Mr. Juno), in which two couples are determined to find romance...but not with each other. GTG's Founding Artistic Director David Staller directs.

Annie Baker's 2014 Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, The Flick, returns to Off-Broadway this month, directed once again by Sam Gold and featuring Alex Hanna, Louisa Krause, Matthew Maher, and Aaron Clifton Moten, reprising their acclaimed performances. Previews began on May 5 at the Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street, corner of Seventh Avenue), and the show will play a 16-week limited engagement through Sunday, August 30. When season five of the USA Network fan-favorite series SUITS returns this summer, viewers will be treated to a cameo by TNT NBA Analyst, Charles Barkley.

The Pearl THeatre Company just concluded ther 2014-15 season with a world premiere adaptation of Moliere's Don Juan,  The Don Juan legend sees Heaven and Earth coming together in an outlandish partnership to seal the fate of one deliciously unrepentant rascal. Neil Byrne and Ryan Kelly are heading back on the road in the summer and fall of 2015 for another tour aptly named BYRNE AND KELLY. They will perform a mix of songs from their solo albums, some Celtic Thunder favorites and some new songs from an upcoming CD.

On May 13 Colm Keegan and Laura Durant made a return visit to Rory Dolan's in Yonkers, New York while on their second US Tour. The show was a mixture of various musical styles and included a lot of original songs by Colm Keegan and Laura Durrant. Each evening celebrates the songs from Broadway shows of a selected year, sung by a cast of talented cabaret and Broadway performers. This marvelous program not only highlights favorite show-stopping numbers, it also features lesser-known gems.

Contra Costa Civic Theatre (CCCT) ends its 55th season with one of the world's most beloved musicals, The Sound of Music, directed by CCCT Artistic Director Marilyn Langbehn with music direction by Kevin Roland and choreography by Rick Wallace, from June 12 through July 19. Performances will be Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm, and Sundays at 2pm at the theatre.

New York Theatre Workshop (NYTW) just honored internationally acclaimed theatre designer and six-time Tony Award Winner Bob Crowley at the NYTW 2015 Spring Gala last night. The event, which was held at the Edison Ballroom (240 W 47th St.) was chaired by Disney Theatrical Production President Thomas Schumacher, Sherie Rene Scott, Jack O'Brien, and John Barrett. The Program Launch for the second half of 2015 shows that the Independent Music Theatre team comprising Luckiest Productions (David Campbell, Lisa Campbell and Richard Carroll), Neglected Musicals (Michelle Guthrie), and Neil Gooding Productions, the driving force behind Hayes Theatre Company, have no intention of slowing down are staying true to their vision to provide a permanent home for small-scale musical theatre and cabaret.
