Top Chicago LGBTQ singers join forces for a benefit concert for the March on Springfield for Marriage Equality tonight Monday, Sept. 9 at City Winery, 7 p.m., 1200 W. Randolph. The concert is presented by Windy City Times and City Winery, and all proceeds will help pay for youth buses to Springfield for the Oct. 22 march and rally.

Luna Stage presents the second installment of its 2012-2013 jazz series, "Music In The Moonlight: An Intimate Evening of Jazz", tonight, December 9th at 7pm with a one-night only concert by Brazilian trumpeter, Claudio Roditi. Mr. Roditi will be accompanied by guitarists Roni Ben-Hur and Paul Meyers in a performance of Jazz Turns Samba at Luna Stage, 555 Valley Road in West Orange, NJ 07052.

The event, Deep In a Dream - the Life and Music of Chet Baker features readings by NAACP Image Award Nominated author James Gavin of passages from the biography (just out in paperback), interwoven with live music well associated with the talented yet troubled Baker, who died a mysterious death on a street in Amsterdam in 1988. Jazz singer Spider Saloff and Bay Area trumpeter Erik Jekabson re-create Baker's trumpet and vocal solos.
