THIS HOLIDAY SEASON IS GOING TO BE 'DREAM-Y' - David Elzer, Peter Schneider and Crooning Crabcakes, LLC are thrilled to announce that the Ovation nominated (Best Musical Intimate Theatre, Best Featured Actor - Jim Holdridge), critically-acclaimed (LA Times CRITICS' CHOICE, Backstage CRITIC'S PICK, LA WEEKLY GO!) smash-hit world premiere production of LIFE COULD BE A DREAM, written and directed by Roger Bean (The Marvelous Wonderettes) with choreography by Lee Martino (Reprise On Your Toes, On The Town) and musical direction by Michael Paternostro (Kiss of the Spider Woman, Thrill Me) is EXTENDING AGAIN through February 28 at the Hudson Mainstage Theatre, 6539 Santa Monica Blvd. in Hollywood.

Rounding out their 2009-10 smash hit season, Drury Lane Oakbrook, 100 Drury Lane, Oakbrook Terrace, IL, presents the 1964 classic Broadway musical comedy FUNNY GIRL.

The Chicago Shakespeare Theatre will present a new staging of Noel Coward's PRIVATE LIVES. The play, set in a hotel balcony, will presented in the round in the new staging, by acclaimed Chicago director Gary Griffin. Performances for the production will begin January 6th. The company has added new seating to its Courtyard Theatre in order to accommodate Griffin's idea, adding seats around the proscenium.

NJPAC has canceled the second week of performances for the upcoming national tour of THE COLOR PURPLE. Performances, which were supposed to take place December 16th through December 27th, will now close December 20th.
