Southern Rep and Junebug Productions announce a new HouseParty Series; a performance, music and dance event on May 21st at 10pm (to 2am) at The Candle Factory with the return of the Bronx-based performance ensemble UNIVERSES (who brought their critically claimed Ameriville to town in February) performing Live! From The Edge, with Master of Ceremonies Saddi Khali and DJ Bomshell Boogie, special guest Ray 'Moose' Jackson - with more to come! Tickets are just 20 bucks, with cash bar offerings of cocktails & pizza.

Stretching beyond the walls of their intimate theater in Putney to reach out to the larger community they will present 'Live From the Edge' by Universes Theater Ensemble, visiting artists from New York City in larger venues in both Bellows Falls and Brattleboro. Universes has crafted a unique and explosive voice with their multi-cultural performance that turns the poem into communal activism.

This year's Voices of Community series presented by Sandglass Theater is going big! Stretching beyond the walls of their intimate theater in Putney to reach out to the larger community they will present "Live From the Edge" by Universes Theater Ensemble, visiting artists from New York City in larger venues in both Bellows Falls and Brattleboro. Universes has crafted a unique and explosive voice with their multi-cultural performance that turns the poem into communal activism. "Live From the Edge" is an evening filled with a blend of slam poetry and theater that looks at life America through the eyes of these New York artists who have created their own brand of fusion theater. Performances will take place Friday, April 9 at the historic Bellows Falls Opera House, and Saturday, April 10 at the New England Youth Theater in Brattleboro.
