War and violence meet a trio of clowns when Guerra: A Clown Play comes to the Jay Pritzker Pavilion March 22-24, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. Presented by the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, in partnership with the Chicago Office of Tourism and Culture, Guerra: A Clown Play is a collaboration among Chicago artists Seth Bockley andDevon de Mayo, and Mexico City-based Artús Chávez.

American Composers Orchestra (ACO) presents Orchestra Underground: American Accounts on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 7:30pm at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall. The concert, led by ACO Music Director & Conductor George Manahan, explores uniquely American stories - both in musical content and in the background of the composers - and features works by Aaron Copland, Milton Babbitt, Gabriel Kahane, and Michael Daugherty. (The premiere of Ian Williams' new piece, previously announced as being part of this concert, has been postponed.)

On Tuesday, April 24 at 7:00pm, New York Festival of Song (NYFOS) presents the final offering of this season's two-part contemporary music mini-series NYFOS Next with RUSSELL PLATT & FRIENDS at Mary Flagler Cary Hall in the DiMenna Center for Classical Music. Award-winning composer and writer Platt hosts and curates an hour of music showcasing the work of multi-dimensional artists and composers, including Harold Meltzer, Lisa Bielawa, Carla Kihlstedt, Gilda Lyons, and Colin Jacobsen, as well as his own.

Long Wharf Theatre, under the leadership of Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein and Managing Director Joshua Borenstein, presents the world premiere of February House, directed by Davis McCallum, with music and lyrics by Gabriel Kahane and book by Seth Bockley.

Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra (LACO) Music Director Jeffrey Kahane will premiere Old Keys, a new concerto by young composer and piano virtuoso Timothy Andres, winner of the prestigious 2011 ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer award, on Saturday, March 24, 8 pm, at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, and Sunday, March 25, 2012, 7 pm, at UCLA's Royce Hall. Old Keys, an abstract piano concerto about form and gesture, was composed as part of LACO's innovative "Sound Investment" commissioning program, now in its second decade.

The Public Theater (Artistic Director Oskar Eustis; Executive Director Patrick Willingham) will present the world premiere of FEBRUARY HOUSE, with music and lyrics by Gabriel Kahane and book by Seth Bockley, beginning on Tuesday, May 8 in The Public's Martinson Theater. The Public Theater announced the return of PUBLIC SINGS! tonight March 5, 2012, an unforgettable evening that celebrates the rich history of musicals produced by The Public Theater, including HAIR, A Chorus Line, and Caroline, or Change, as well as new musicals in development like February House premiering at The Public this May. World-renowned for their innovative mix of the human imagination and corporeal dexterity, and memorable performances on widely televised programs such as the Academy Awards and "The Oprah Winfrey Show," PILOBOLUS is destined to create a wondrous dance spectacle for South Florida audiences. Long Wharf Theatre is uniting with the Public Theater in New York to produce February House, a new musical featuring the music of up-and-comer Gabriel Kahane. The musical will bow on Stage II February 15 through March 18. The press opening is Wednesday, February 22 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $45-$65.
