This Monday marks Thom Allison's return to the Toronto stage (and to the Cabaret scene) with a very special evening at the Berkeley Street Theatre. The Dark Night Cabaret series is presented as part of Acting Up Stage's season, and Monday's show will feature Thom singing the original music of up and comer Zachary Florence with some of Toronto's hottest musical talents.

On June 27th Toronto celebrated the 32nd Annual Dora Mavor Moore Awards which honour excellence in Canada theatre. The West Side Story Suite began this weekend and is presented by the National Ballet of Canada. It is part of Luminato, The Toronto Festival for the Arts and Creativity. While it is primarily dance - the show features vocals from seven performers, including up and comers Michael Hughes and Gabi Epstein who talk to BWW about what someone can expect if they venture out to the ballet.
Gabi Epstein is another up-and-comer on the Toronto theatre scene performing a Cabaret night this month, and hers is going to focus on music from the late nineties. Entitled Gabi's Chill Mix, the Cabaret-style evening will take place on February 20th at 10PM and feature songs from Hawksley Workman, Pearl Jam, Lisa Loeb and more.
