From classical and popular music to pasta and wine, Festa Italiana Seattle is a 'Celebration of All Things Italian.' Food vendors, crafts, a wine garden, puppet theatre, bocce ball tournaments, grape-stomping competitions, Italian films and much more honor the 'old country' and transform Seattle Center into a little Italy, Sept. 26, 10 a.m. - 8 p.m., and Sept. 27, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.

Acclaimed folk dance ensembles, musicians and visiting artists, children and visitors celebrate Croatia and highlight the history and regional contributions of Croatian Americans at Safeco Insurance Festál: CroatiaFest, Oct. 4, 12 noon - 8 p.m., at Center House.

Intiman Theatre and Town Hall Seattle?s Center for Civic Life will co-present a dramatic reading of selections from the Lincoln-Douglas Debates on Tuesday, September 22 from 7:30-9 pm as part of Intiman?s American Cycle series and its production of Robert E. Sherwood?s play Abe Lincoln in Illinois. Actors Erik Lochtefeld and R. Hamilton Wright will take a night off from rehearsal to read the words of Abraham Lincoln and Stephen A. Douglas, the characters they will play in Intiman?s forthcoming production.
