Charles Xavier to Release HAPPY NOTE RECORDS SAMPLER 2016 This Fall

Charles Xavier, aka 'The Xman,' is a visionary producer, composer, electronic musician and percussionist based in the San Francisco Bay Area. With a work ethic matched only by his creative madness, Xavier is releasing his sixth full-length album, Happy Note Records Sampler 2016, on October 14, 2016.

Evolution Productions Announces 2016 Panto Line-Up

Over the past eleven years family-run pantomime producers, Evolution Productions have built up a reputation for being the UK's number-one creators of bespoke high-quality pantos. The 2016 line up does nothing to disprove this.  The company, which is run by husband and wife team, former TV presenter Paul Hendy and Oxford graduate and former film production manager Emily Wood, will be presenting a festive banquet of seasonal shows across the country from then end of November 2016 to mid-January 2017.  The line up comprises Dick Whttington starring Stephen Mulhern (ITV's Catchphrase, Big Star Little Star) as Billy at The Marlowe in Canterbury, Peter Pan starring Emma Barton (Honey Mitchell - Eastenders) as Tinkerbell and Shaun Williamson(Barry Evans - Eastenders and himself in Extras) at The Hawth in Croydon, Sleeping Beauty at Lichfied Garrick Theatre starring Rebecca Keatley (CBeebies) as Fairy Moonbeam and the great dame himself Sam Rabone as Nurse Nellie, Snow White at The Lyceum Theatre Sheffield starring Wendi Peters (Coronation Street - Cilla Battersby- Brown) and Phil Gallagher(CBeebies - Mister Maker), Snow White at The Alban Arena St Albans starring Rita Simons(Eastenders - Roxy Mitchell) and Ian Kirkby (Dick & Dom In Da Bungalow), Cinderella at Theatre Severn Shrewsbury with panto favourite Brad Pitt and Peter Pan at the Octagon Theatre Yeovill starring supervillain Andrew Fettes as Captain Hook. 

DINNER WITH THE TWITS Runs for Just Three More Weekends

Dinner at the Twits, the gloriously gruesome interactive theatrical dining experience from the award-winning team behind the Olivier Award-nominated smash hit Alice's Adventures Underground, in association with gastronomic wunderkinds Bompas & Parr, must end its run at the Vaults on Sunday 30 October.

BWW Review: TRAVESTIES, Menier Chocolate Factory, 4 October 2016

Wilde, Joyce, Shakespeare, Lenin, memory, the morality of war, social systems, and the meaning and purpose of art: Stoppard's dazzlingly intellectual 1974 play really is a life, the universe and everything affair. Thankfully, Patrick Marber's fleet-footed revival is equally attuned to its wit and skittish strangeness, offering a lifeline to audience members who may be nodding fervently at the line 'I'm finding this conversation extremely hard to follow'.

Last night, Patrick Marber's highly anticipated revival of Tom Stoppard's TRAVESTIES opened at Menier Chocolate Factory. The cast features Tom Hollander, Freddie Fox, Clare Foster, Peter McDonald, Amy Morgan, Forbes Masson, Tim Wallers and Sarah Quist, and the play runs until 19 November.

Artist Lineup Set for JIMMY HEATH AT 90 at The Kennedy Center

The Kennedy Center announced today the roster of artists who will be participating in Jimmy Heath at 90, a concert honoring the 90th birthday of the legendary saxophonist, composer, educator, and bandleader. The celebration will take place on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. in the Concert Hall.

The production - which opens on 4 October, with previews from 22 September and runs until 19 November - completely sold out, breaking Menier box office records by becoming the first play to sell out ahead of its opening in the theatre's history.
