The last time Sam Underwood appeared on stage he was completely naked. He was playing Alan Strang in the much lauded production of Peter Schaffer's EQUUS at East Hampton (NY)'s John Drew Theatre. Those who are familiar with the play know that it culminates in a 20 minute nude scene for the actor playing the tormented young Strang. How then would the actor be recognized when he walked into a restaurant in New York City fully clothed?

Wildcat Theatricals will present a staged reading of Leonard Gershe's 1962 comedy Miss Pell is Missing at the June Havoc Theatre (312 W. 36 St.) on Thursday, July 29 at 12:30 and Friday, July 30 at 3:30, as part of the 11th Annual Midtown International Theatre Festival's (MITF) Reading Series.

Tony Award-winner Donna McKechnie, one of Broadway's most beloved and esteemed performers, will present the New York premiere of her critically-acclaimed solo show, My Musical Comedy Life (directed by Richard Jay-Alexander), at the Laurie Beechman Theatre for one performance only, Wednesday, July 28th at 8pm. There is a $35 cover charge, as well as a $15 food/beverage minimum (a full dinner menu is available). The Laurie Beechman Theatre is located within The West Bank Cafe at 407 West 42nd St. (@ 9th Ave)., in the heart of New York's theatre district. The Laurie Beechman Theatre announce that Tony Award-winner Donna McKechnie, one of Broadway's most beloved and esteemed performers, will present the New York premiere of her critically-acclaimed solo show, My Musical Comedy Life, at the midtown venue for one performance only, Wednesday, July 28th at 8pm.

The next four dates for Show Off! will be Friday 28 May 2010, Friday 11 June 2010, Friday 25 June 2010 and Friday 9 July 2010. All will take place at Cafe Koha in Covent Garden.

One of Orange County, California's newest theater companies, 3D Theatricals, will present HELLO, DOLLY! from July 9 through August 1 at the gorgeous O.C. Pavilion Theatre in the Arts District of downtown Santa Ana. Starring as the matchmaker Dolly Levi will be Broadway veteran (and Los Angeles-area theater favorite) Ruth Williamson. During a break from show preparations, Williamson paused briefly for a chat with BroadwayWorld's Michael Lawrence Quintos to discuss her extensive history in the theater and her excitement in taking on the iconic role.
