'The Composer as Confessor' is the third of four concerts in PhiloSonia's inaugural season 'Revelations' on February 10, 2017.

The Rhode Island Philharmonic Orchestra and Music Director Larry Rachleff welcome cellist Alban Gerhardt back to The VETS for a program of Haydn's Second Cello Concerto along with Schubert's immortal "Unfinished" 8th Symphony and two favorites by Richard Strauss: "Dance of the Seven Veils" fromSalome and Der Rosenkavalier: Suite.

The Saint Thomas Choir of Men and Boys presents Handel's Messiah on Tuesday, December 6 and Today, December 8 at 7:30 P.M.at Saint Thomas Church Fifth Avenue, One West 53rd Street New York, NY.   Daniel Hyde conducts Concert Royal with soloists Maria Valdes, soprano; Avery Amereau, mezzo-soprano; Miles Mykkanen, tenor and Thomas Meglioranza, bass. 

Eifman Ballet returns to the London Coliseum this December with the UK premiere of Artistic Director Boris Eifman's awe-inspiring ballet Up & Down featuring the invigorating music of George Gershwin, Franz Schubert and Alban Berg.

New Amsterdam is excited to partner with Art of Elan, a pioneering chamber music series which seeks to bring unique music events and the excitement of classical music to diverse audiences. For their 10th Anniversary season, Art of Elan has named NewAm's own NOW Ensemble as their ensemble-in-residence, which involves performance opportunities, commissioning opportunities, and possible recording support for the ensemble.

New Jersey-raised, multi-award winning New York cabaret vocalist Stearns Matthews will present a benefit concert titled The Stearns Matthews Christmas Special on Saturday, December 17th at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair. The first half of the program will feature the song cycle December Songs by Broadway composer Maury Yeston and the second half will harken back to the television Christmas specials of yesteryear, complete with chestnuts, presents, and yuletide by the fireside!

Camden People'sTheatre 's brand new festival All the Right Notes brings together trailblazing work from the place where theatre and live music meet: it's a festival featuring not only theatre-makers whose work is driven by live music, but music acts whose work is audaciously theatrical, programmed in partnership with DJ and journalist Joe Muggs. They meet in the middle, splicing for your delight the hothouse thrill of live music and the buzz of inventive contemporary theatre.

Music Director Alan Gilbert will lead the New York Philharmonic in the World Premiere of HK Gruber's Piano Concerto - a Philharmonic co-commission with the Berlin Philharmonic, Royal Concertgebouw, and Royal Stockholm Philharmonic orchestras - with pianist Emanuel Ax as soloist; Weill's Little Threepenny Music for Wind Orchestra; and Schubert's Symphony No. 2. The performances will take place Thursday, January 5, 2017, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, January 6 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday, January 7 at 8:00 p.m.

 Mirror Visions Ensemble (MVE), currently celebrating its 25th anniversary, presents its unique program Flights of Fantasy at the Loreto Theater at The Sheen Center for Thought & Culture on Friday, October 14 at 8:00 p.m. and in a collaborative performance with New York University students at NYU's Loewe Theater on Monday, October 31 at 7:30 p.m.
