According to the Daily Mail, the ensemble is set for Nick Gill's adaptation of Franz Kafka's THE TRIAL at the Young Vic this summer.

Remounting a work originally presented at Woolly Mammoth's rehearsal room earlier this year, the Alliance for New Music-Theatre now brings their original adaptation of METAMORPHOSIS to the new Capital Fringe performance venue. The Trinidad Theatre, located at 1358 Florida Ave NE, is exactly the type of small, hip, black box that DC isn't known for, and it's as good of a host as any for METAMORPHOSIS as the Alliance prepares to take their production to the Prague Fringe Festival later this month.

Based on renowned author J.K. Rowling's first novel for adults, the three-part miniseries THE CASUAL VACANCY debuts its first two parts back-to-back WEDNESDAY, APRIL 29 (8:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT), followed by the debut of part three the next night, THURSDAY, APRIL 30 (8:00-9:00 p.m.), exclusively on HBO.

Stories on Stage collaborates once again with the Buntport Theater Company in Son of Very Short Stories. Denver performances are today, March 7 at 1:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. at Su Teatro Cultural and Performing Arts Center, located at 721 Santa Fe Drive.

'Kafka's Quest, a.k.a. Kafka/Samsa' is a quasi-realistic play by the late playwright Lu Hauser that imagines the family life of Gregor Samsa, the tragic victim of Kafka's 'Metamorphosis,' and his friendship with an historic Yiddish Theater actor and actress in Prague, prior to the events of the famed novella. Set in Prague in 1912, it portrays Gregor Samsa (the name Kafka personified himself with in the book) as torn between his father, who wants to keep him on the straight and narrow with a full time job, and his friendship with artists of the Yiddish Theater, who want him to join and write for them. His father's bankruptcy forces Gregor to become the breadwinner of the family, which has been forced to take in two mysterious lodgers to make ends meet. The back and forth between the two poles of Gregor's life will culminate in 'The Metamorphosis.' Theater for the New City will present the play's world premiere February 26 to March 15, directed by Manfred Bormann.
