NEXT FALL Will Arrive on Broadway with Critically Acclaimed Original Cast Intact

Barbara Manocherian, Richard Willis and Anthony Barrile in association with Naked Angels (Geoffrey Nauffts, Artistic Director; John Alexander, Managing Director; Andy Donald, Associate Artistic Director; Brittany O'Neill, Producer) are pleased to announce that the critically acclaimed original cast will return for the Broadway run of NEXT FALL, the new American play by Geoffrey Nauffts and directed by Sheryl Kaller. The production will open on Broadway on Thursday, March 11, 2010 with preview performances beginning Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Helen Hayes Theatre (240 West 44th Street).

David Morse & Martha Plimpton Join LAByrinth Theatre Company for 'Barn Series' and 'Live Nude Plays'

LAByrinth Theater Company (Stephen Adly Guirgis, Mimi O'Donnell & Yul Vázquez, Artistic Directors and Marieke Gaboury Producing Director) continues its fall season with two annual festivals of free staged readings, the Barn Series (October 6 - October 30, 2009) and Live Nude Plays (October 31 - November 3) the Public Theater (425 Lafayette Street) and is pleased to announce award-winning stage veterans David Morse and Martha Plimpton will appear onstage in readings in October.

Nauffts' NEXT FALL To Bow On Broadway, Previews Begin Mid-February 2010

The New School Names Jon Robin Baitz Artist-in-Residence

The New School for Drama has announced that the award-winning playwright Jon Robin Baitz will be the distinguished artist-in-residence for the 2009-2010 academic year. Baitz is a Pulitzer finalist, a Guggenheim and NEA fellow, and winner of an American Academy of Arts and Letters Award. A founding member and former artistic director of New York's Naked Angels theater company, Baitz has written a number of acclaimed plays, including The Film Society, The Substance of Fire, Three Hotels, A Fair Country, Ten Unknowns, Mizlansky/Zilinsky, a new version of Ibsen's Hedda Gabler (produced on Broadway in 2001), and The Paris Letter. Playwrights Horizons, the Roundabout Theatre Company, Lincoln Center Theater, and the Second Stage Theatre have produced Baitz's work in New York. His new play, Love and Mercy, will be produced next season on Broadway.

WAKING UP WITH STRANGERS Runs 6/29-7/2 At The Kraine Theater

Marc (Marco Formosa), an American scholar in Berlin, uncovers the dangerous equation behind his attraction to the great German dramatist Heinrich von Kleist, who died in 1811 in a notorious double suicide. Konrad (Nate Faust), from whom he is letting a room, offers Marc help in understanding his attraction to Kleist and opens up a disturbing confrontation with identity. Konrad's girlfriend Mina (Ji-Hye Kwon) is pulled into the vortex of their discovery. The life of Kleist (David Marshall) finds its eerie parallels in Marc's awakening.

New York's eternally boundary-pushing theater company Naked Angels (Geoffrey Nauffts, Artistic Director and Brittany O'Neill, Managing Director) will present the official Off Broadway premiere of Fault Lines, tonight September 30th, 2008. The new play by Stephen Belber is directed by David Schwimmer. Performances began Monday, September 22 at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street). Fault Lines replaces the previously scheduled The Talk by Frank Pugliese, which has been cancelled.
