Chicago's Skokie Theatre Hosts An Evening with Heather Moran, 11/21

The Skokie Theatre is hosting an evening with Heather Moran, one of Chicago's top multi-genre vocalists, on November 21 at 8pm. Moran will be singing tunes of 50's jazz singers including Julie London, Peggy Lee, Rosemary Clooney, Doris Day, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, and June Christy. Pianist Damian Espinosa, bassist Marc Piane and drummer Frank Parker join Heather Moran for this event.

'Rosie! A Tribute' is a loving and well-told musical adventure spanning the 40 year career of the great Girl Singer, Rosemary Clooney. Heather Moran has deftly created a musical tapestry from the colorful life of Clooney, spanning from her birth in Maysville, Kentucky, through her nervous breakdown in the late 1960's, her mid 1970's comeback, all the way to her death in 2002. Heather is accompanied by one of the hottest young jazz musicians in Chicago, Damian Espinosa Heather is also thrilled to include two fantastic surprise Jazz vocalists. She has performed this show at some venues such as Davenports, Maxim's and the Acorn Theater in Michigan, to name a few. She is scheduled to perform Rosie! A Tribute... at the Milwaukee's Wilson Center for the Arts January, 2010.
