The new musical based on the incredible real life story of an icon to end all icons, Diana, will open on Broadway in the spring of 2020, producers Grove Entertainment (Beth Williams), Frank Marshall and The Araca Group announced today. Performances will begin on Monday, March 2, 2020 at the Longacre Theatre (220 West 48th St.), with an official Opening Night set for Tuesday, March 31, 2020.
DreamWorks Animation today announced Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, an animated action-adventure series, is set to debut globally on Netflix in 2020 as part of an ongoing multi-year agreement with Netflix to produce original animated kids and family programming. Set within the same timeline as the 2015 blockbuster film, Jurassic World, the Netflix original series is inspired by the multi-billion-dollar franchise from Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment.

EPIX has greenlit Laurel Canyon, a feature-length documentary that will pull back the curtain on a mythical world and provide an up-close look at the lives of the musicians who inhabited it. Through a wealth of rare and newly unearthed footage and audio recordings, the documentary will feature an intimate portrait of the artists who created a music revolution that would change popular culture. Alison Ellwood (History of the Eagles) will direct the feature-length film, which will premiere in late 2019 on EPIX.

Netflix has optioned the rights to The New York Times bestseller Shoe Dog, written by Phil Knight. Five-time Academy Award nominated producer Frank Marshall will produce the film alongside Knight. Golden Globe and Emmy Award winners Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski (Dolemite Is My Name!, Ed Wood, The People vs. Larry Flynt, The People v. O.J. Simpson: AMERICAN CRIME Story) are writing the screenplay.
