New Conservatory Theatre Center Offers 'Pay As You Can' Event February 2 with Franc D'Ambrosio

The New Conservatory Theatre Center is pleased to offer a unique opportunity to experience this phenomenal artist/teacher in person, as he works to pass along his priceless experience and his own insights to a new generation of artists. For the benefit of all in attendance, Franc D?Ambrosio will work specifically with four pre-selected singers from the NCTC community. As he assists them in connecting their voices to the heart of a song, we can all learn. It will be an inspiring evening of beautiful songs, insights and artistic breakthroughs. ABOUT FRANC: Franc D?Ambrosio?s Broadway debut was in the first revival of 'Sweeney Todd' but he is best known for his run as the Phantom in Andrew Lloyd Webber?s ?The Phantom of the Opera?. After playing the role close to 3000 times (including the national tour and over 5 years in the San Francisco run) Franc earned the title he still holds: ?The World?s Longest Running Phantom?.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed 'Best of New York' by New York Magazine and 'an invaluable New York institution' by The New York Post, will continue their 10th Anniversary season with the debut engagement of Grammy Award winner Crystal Gayle and Tony Award nominee Laura Bell Bundy, appearing together for the first time. 'Kentucky Girlfriends' - which celebrates their home state and their southern heritage - will make its world premiere at the club from October 28 to November 1.

The 12th annual Philadelphia Live Arts Festival heads into its final week of innovative and highly interdisciplinary programming and performances. In its final stretch, the Festival, which opened on August 29 and runs through September 13, will see the World and U.S. Premieres of five productions from internationally renowned directors, choreographers and performers.

Rapp and Schultz Among Writers in World Premiere of SPIN

the stageFARM (Alex Kilgore, Artistic Director and Carrie Shaltz, Founder / Executive Director) has announced the line-up of plays that will comprise the world premiere of SPIN, a series of new short plays (commissioned on the timely topic) by Adam Rapp, Gina Gionfriddo, Judith Thompson, Elizabeth Meriwether, and Mark Schultz. With direction by Alex Kilgore and Evan Cabnet, SPIN begins performances Friday evening, October 3, 2008, for a limited engagement through Saturday evening, November 8, at The Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce Street between Barrow & Bedford Streets).

Festival Bar visitors will be able to grab a beer or cocktail served up by Philly's favorite barman Fergus Carey, purchase food including Turkish dishes from Konak Restaurant and Bar, enjoy visual media installations designed and programmed by artist Lars Jan, dance to a line-up of some of the city's best DJs and even play arcade games like pinball and Wii Boxing.
