Multi-platinum recording artist Dwight Yoakam has been cast in Amazon Original Series GOLIATH (formerly known as Trial).

With available time-shifted viewing data, the premiere episode of HISTORY's event series 'ROOTS' was watched by 14.4 million total linear viewers over the course of all premiere week telecasts.

The Memorial Day premiere of HISTORY's event series 'ROOTS' was watched by 5.3 million viewers, based on Nielsen Fast Nationals. Against heavy competition on both broadcast and cable, including Game 7 of the NBA Western Conference Finals, 'ROOTS' became the #1 scripted mini-series premiere on cable since 2013 (A+E Networks' 'Bonnie & Clyde'). Airing on HISTORY, Lifetime, A&E and LMN, the 9pm premiere telecast of 'ROOTS' was watched by 2.1 million adults 25-54 and 1.8 million adults 18-49. Over the course of the night, 8.5 million viewers watched the episode (3 telecasts). These numbers are expected to grow significantly once Live+3 and Live+7 data becomes available.

Kicking off with the premiere of the highly anticipated event series 'ROOTS,' HISTORY is unveiling the most robust summer of original programming in the 21 year history of the network.

The event includes a sneak peek screening of the four-night, eight-hour event series before it premieres on HISTORY on Monday, May 30 at 9 p.m.

Minds Eye Entertainment, in association with Bridgegate Pictures and VMI Worldwide, have financed and green lit a six-picture production slate of sci-fi, action and thriller films.  Minds Eye Entertainment will distribute the films in North America, while VMI Worldwide will distribute the titles internationally.  The six films will also be shot for the new Barco Escape three-screen, panoramic theatrical format, which fully surrounds audiences and offers the ultimate immersive cinema experience.  Portions of the films will also be shot in Virtual Reality.
