HARD Events has announced the fifth annual HARD Red Rocks at the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO as part of its 'Road to HARD SUMMER' (HARD's flagship festival in Southern California August 5 & 6) event series commemorating HARD's 10 year anniversary.
ASCAP Award-winning writer/director Chip Deffaa is releasing a second cast album of his show 'Mad About the Boy' today. The new album - which follows on the heels of the cast album of his recently released 13th Street Theater production - mixes performances by stars of Deffaa's original festival production, plus some very special surprise guests.
The acclaimed Grant Park Orchestra and Chorus with Broadway stars Laura Osnes (currently Bandstand on Broadway) and Santino Fontana (the voice of Hans in Disney's Frozen), along with conductor Ted Sperling, will take audiences through the ups and downs of romance, with music from Frozen, Cinderella, and classic and contemporary shows including West Side Story, Follies, Oklahoma and more.
The cast and creative teams performing in the popular daytime ShortWorks operas have been announced for this year's Festival. Intimately staged and approximately one hour in length, the ShortWorks operas are presented in the nearby Clayton Whites Hotel and offer audiences the opportunity to enjoy a one-act opera or a condensed version of a more familiar opera.
