A Tempest (Une Tempête) will take place LIVE in person on Monday February 28th at 7:30pm at FIAF Florence Gould Hall (55 East 59th Street) with simultaneous Livestream broadcast. Video-on-Demand will be available through Sunday March 6th until 11:59 PM EST.

Tickets are now available for Traveling Players' Dionysian Play Festival, which runs  weekends March 12-20 at their Studio in Tysons Corner Center. Performed by Traveling Players'  students, the festival will travel back in time to the beginning of Western Theatre, in ancient Greece, with  three modern twists on classic myths.  

Today’s subject Yesenia Iglesias is currently living her theatre life onstage at Signature Theatre in Daphne’s Dive which runs through March 20th in the ARK space. Last time Yesenia performed at Signature, she was getting beat up and bludgeoned to death in Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity. Tickets to performances of The Pursued, The Pursuing, The Busy, and The Tired, the world premiere production of Signature Theatre’s flagship education program, Signature in the Schools, are now on sale.

Arts on the Horizon, a non-verbal theatre company whose programs are specifically designed for children ages 0 to 6, will present a world premiere scavenger hunt production, Jingle Journey. Jingle Journey will be available November 27 through December 31st, 2021.

Folger Consort, the early music ensemble-in-residence at the Folger Shakespeare Library, will host seven holiday-themed concerts from Friday, December 10, 2021 through Saturday, December 18, 2021. A video-recording of the program will also be made available for purchase for on-demand streaming via the Folger website. Performances will take place in the spacious and atmospheric St. Mark's Church on Capitol Hill, where Folger Consort's last in-person performances took place in March 2020.

The Civilians is presenting the newest members of The R&D Group, marking the Group’s 11th season. The R&D Group is comprised of playwrights, composers, and directors who work together as a writing group for nine months to develop new plays and musicals.

RED BULL THEATER today announced the complete cast for its online Benefit Reading of Shakespeare’s Pericles featuring a company Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) voices.

The story is compelling and original. Renowned author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle has spent years in pursuit of contact with the other side. Famed magician Harry Houdini has been on a parallel journey to debunk the very notion. With the help of the brash and unpredictable medium, Mina Crandon, the two come to the table for one final seance. The baggage all three bring with them results in a chaotic and strange experience that none will ever forget.

Peter's Alley is back with the Pulitzer Prize Winning Proof by David Auburn October 8-31, 2021 at Theatre on the Run in Arlington. It's been a long dark two years and what better way to commemorate the rebirth of Live Theater than with this witty and warm classic of contemporary American theater?

Daniels will lead the vision and strategy for cultural programming across the institution, including theater performances, concerts, poetry readings, talks, screenings, and other humanities programs inspired by the Folger collection, in the Folger's historic Elizabethan Theatre as well as new galleries and public spaces created by the building renovation.

The adaptation is a 90-minute version with a music score excerpted from the 1960's and 70's pop songbook. It is among the first professional live theatre productions in the DC area next month.

Constellation Theatre Company will kick off Season 14: Electric Impulses with Sue Jin Song's powerful one-woman show, Children of Medea. Concord Theatricals has announced that it has released worldwide licensing rights to Ken Ludwig’s Dear Jack, Dear Louise to professional theatres. The two-hander will be available on the Samuel French imprint.

Gulfshore Playhouse will bring audiences to the Deep South this spring with its production of “Maytag Virgin.” Gulfshore Playhouse’s second equity-approved production this spring, a preview of the show will take place March 18 and 19, followed by regular performances March 20 through April 3.
